Well, we just took AJ Nolan because we have a lot of guys with initials as their first name.

No, but seriously, it's because we see him as a 3B and I sort of like his OSA ratings despite him not hitting to that potential. His current ratings suck so we got to develop him.

I might go through the draft class and change some first names. We do have a lot of duplicates. The draft is based on player ID # so any first name changes would just be cosmetic. You shouldn't have 45 Dave's in a draft.

Every team should have their last pick of this draft changed to their names.
It'd be fun to see who got the furthest in their careers.
Would make for entertaining discussions in the forums too.

Well, that number is slightly above average.

I'm pretty sure the name files are merely text files with a list of names. We can always go in and mod it ourselves. ;)

                        • Nice pick by Indy. Had Coleman as a late round pick just wasn't sure how long I could wait.

My scout and OSA think he's nothing but minor league filler but his ability to keep the ball in the park this year was top notch.

                              • When I go in game and have my scout create a draft list I have some weird stuff happening. It's been happening for at least the last three seasons, and I'm hoping you guys can help me with this. Depending on what round I select in the list I can only see hitters, only see batters, or see both. It's random each year as to which round will show which players.

For this year, Round 1 doesn't show anybody. Round 2 shows only pitchers. Round 3 doesn't show anybody. Round 4 shows everybody. Round 5 shows only hitters. Round 6 shows only pitchers. Round 7 shows only hitters. Round 8 shows only pitchers. Round 9 shows only hitters. Round 10 shows only pitchers.

So, I've been using the Round 4 list up to this point because it's the only one that shows everybody this year. Last year it was Round 7.

Does anybody know why this would be happening? I can't find anything online about it. It'd be nice to not have to mess around trying to figure out which list to look at. I thought maybe it was just an OOTP16 thing, but it carried over to 17.
