Now I'm starting to think Pat is just jumping in front of me on purpose.

Woodrum and Moore were very high on my list. Urgency to trade up doubled.Last edited by Pat; 02-17-2017, 11:20 AM.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

I moved up to grab Tom Moore. He's been easily the highest player left on my draft list - my scout thinks he can be a mid-rotation guy and OSA likes him as well, giving him 6-5-6. He doesn't throw as hard as I'd like, but maybe I'll see a boost there. OSA gives his Changeup an 8 potential, his strikeout numbers have been pretty good, so there's hope for the Stuff. He's also listed as Durable.
I like him enough that I traded up, so hopefully it works out. I feel like there was a good chance he'd be gone by 2.25 had I waited - my board was getting hit pretty hard by recent picks.Washington Bats, 2013-

With the 42nd pick in the draft, the Bulldogs select, Dave Gutierrez out of Long Beach State.
I really didn't want to pick another first baseman this early in the draft, but I really like this kid. This is one of those cases where OSA thinks he'll be ok, but my scout believes he's going to be special. And I mean .290/.380/.560 special. Add in that he is intelligent AND a super hard worker, first baseman or not, he needed to be selected here so there was no regret on our end.

Selected 8th overall by Dallas in 1982, then traded to Davenport, then to Wilmington, all in the same year. Spends eight seasons in Wilmington before being traded to Pittsburgh. The following year he is traded to Philly and then again to Dallas in the same season. His numbers would decline a bit in his 30s but he saw majority of his post-season success in Dallas.
Speaking of the 1982 draft, remember this guy?: http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/blb/...ayer_2322.htmlWilmington Wildcats- 2057-
