I can only trust my scout, who is legendary with amateurs. The first 10 picks have played out nothing like I expected. Whaley and Banda are late first rounders. Adams was the fourth best hitter behind MacDonough, Paton, and Mangan.

I agree, with your assertion on Whaley and Banda, but otherwise a lot of what's gone on is exactly what I expected. People trust their scouts a little too much for my liking, but we can all run our clubs the way we want. Me, I use scouting as a backup and rely mostly on stats and Whaley and Banda don't excite me with their current year stats.

After much discussion with my 9 year old assistant GM, we decided to take a chance on someone OSA loves, but my scout is a little unsure off. I may regret passing on some of the infield prospects I had tabbed for this spot, but with Morla, Wescott, and a minor league full of infield prospects, I went for something California lacks... Power!!

We'll see how this turns out.
