I'm pretty sure I know who I would select if I was picking 4th.

I have 3 others to go into the 7th pick but I need to look a little deeper to make sure I'm not overlooking anyone.

3 hitters I absolutely love. No way they make it to 10. There's a handful of quality pitchers, but I don't think any of them really stands out as the best of the bunch.

I actually think the "value" of the 1st round is in that #10-#20 range.

I think there is a clear top 4...maybe top 5... After that, I have about 10-15 players that are all rated very similarly.

It's a good year to pick 12th then.

We have 1.18 and 1.20 plus two early 2nds. Looks like the potential for a solid haul.

Yep. I think there are 4. Have to hope some one passes one of the 4.

Draft notes, story lines and my own personal thoughts:

                        1. OFs Robby Slechta and T.J. Stepanek, sound like a DJ/Rap duo. "Yo, I'm your MC TJ Step-a-neck with my DJ Robby The Selechta!"

                        2. OF Nate "Boot" Martin is out for five weeks with a fractured foot. Irony.

                        3. OKSU SP C.J. DeGennaro has a chance to be the highest drafted currently injury player. Regarded by some as the drafts top prospect, he is out for 6 more months with shoulder inflammation. Will he slip down draft boards?

                        4. Seattle now has 14 picks in the Top 150. So much for the whole, no trading for draft picks house rule, huh?

                        5. Death Valley, Hartford, Kansas City and Pawtucket all have two 1st round picks.

                        6. Dallas is the only BLB team to not have a Top 100 prospect currently. They don't pick until 76th overall.

                        7. Syracuse holds the #1 pick and is rumored to be torn between a pitcher and a hitter at the top.

                        8. From my assessment, this is the most position player heavy draft that I can remember. By the 3rd-6th rounds, I'm predicting huge runs on hitters. Maybe even an entire round of players.

                        9. I'm predicting that Death Valley and Kansas City come out as big winners from the draft. KC picks #2, #22, #28, #46, #49 and #54, with an outstanding track record since taking over the new franchise. DVS picks #18, #20, #29, #33 and #44, in a draft with heavy value in the late 1st-mid 2nd.

                        10. Ready to get started. I have a concrete Top 10 big board and about a top 100 of guys I like but not in great order. Really hoping one of my "big four" falls to Seattle at #6.
