  • 2020 Offseason SIM 5 (FA4) Complete - Next SIM Tues 1/31

Files due by 4 am ET | 1 am PT

File is up. Reports and Utility shortly.

    Stat of the Day!

    DFA: Denver
    Roster:
    Single A Age:

Please check your DFA's. Since SIMs are longer any players you sign will run out of time in two SIMs. If your 40 man is full then we have to try and DFA a player based on our best guess in order to make room for the new player.

    Offseason Schedule

    1/31 - Free Agency 5 - Feb 1 to Feb 16
    2/1 - Free Agency 6 - Feb 16 to ST
    2/3 - Spring Training 1
    2/4 - Spring Training 2
    2/6 - Opening Day

    Reminder

    14. CONTRACTS
    • If Team Option is used the Buyout must be the difference between Option year and highest Guaranteed year.
    • Only one Team Option may be used per contract, and it must be in the last year of the contract. This prevents people from stacking Player Options after the Team Option.
    • Players cannot be signed to contract extensions until after they have received their second arbitration contract. Players become eligible for contract extensions once they have two "Received a 1-year contract worth a total of $xx through arbitration." in their player history.

This version of the Scorpions could be very very good. This might be my best defensive team ever. Hopefully another championship appearance.

I have too many BLB level players. If you need a 1B that can still hit and put asses in the seats I've got TJ Dunn. If you need a #1 starter I've got Baldwin and Fajardo. I can take back salary in the right deal.

        Thanks Matt!

Owner gave me a significant boost to my budget.
I'm going to pour most of it into dev and scouting.

I also noticed that last year my team really hit a wall in the last two months.
My better hitters all ran out of gas. I hired a new trainer for this season and his fatigue ratings are Outstanding. I hope that helps - if that was the case from last season.

Mason back on the top players list.

Right now Pawtucket is just treading water. Were not really that bad of a team, but were just not thrilling right now.

Safe to say 77-82 wins. If our pitchers play above they're heads maybe 84-86. If our hitters hit like last year then 70-74.

Really like Danny 'Guru' Gamez in the center field role and would LOVE Mason to learn RF, but most likely sticks to LF. After that I see some sort of rotation between J.D. Pomeroy, Hopper & Lowe perhaps sticking with the hot hand during the season.

The IF the key here is defense. 3B Chris Avison has nailed down the starting spot, but things are really up in the air at SS, 2B. 2B Josh Doss has won all types of fieldings awards in the minors, but can he hit?? Graves can hit, but his range sucks. Do we want to live with his -11 range?? 1B Pat Howell will do fine and expecting a small bounce back from C Dave Piekarski.

Rotation wise: Who's SP Tommy Klingenberg ??? No idea, but were about to find out. SP Jalen LaFargue feels like he can use another season in AAA, but who steps in to his spot?? There's always SP C.J. Simmons & SP Marco Carrasco in AAA, but to me they can use one more season in the minors.

Finally, we have no 1st rounder so no need to tank.

This draft is major for us as we have two first and two seconds coming up. These are the drafts you need to hit on in order to stay competitive. Time to our homework.

          Questions, questions, questions.

Looks like there will be a pretty exciting conclusion to FA.

Like Jaylen refusing to talk to me. What's his issue?

I'm not sure, but my scout says he's a great judge of character.
