The Pilots complete their off-season by signing Seattle-born bench coach Ed Munce.

Let me know when the season starts...or the draft class is announced.

Agreed. $15 million a season is still a large chunk of salary for most teams that don't have a payroll in the $100+ million range. I thought the purpose was to avoid the 6 year $20 million dollar contracts and the 6 year $$150 million contracts. This would seem to have done that.

I'll add, I have no problems with Williams's contract. I'm only pointing out that "discounts" is what we don't want.
Wasn't Williams 3 stamp anyway? Wouldn't he have got this contract for other way?!

Not necessarily. Even one bad contract on a big budget team is killer if they are trying to compete for a title. That's one more roleplayer or a hole that could otherwise be filled with the money. Often times there aren't young cheap players ready to fill those spots because they've been traded for established vets in a title push.

Agreed, but they are often then able to be unloaded for draft picks in many instances in the future.

No one is arguing that you haven't EARNED a larger budget. I'm just saying that it enables a team to take larger risks...

We're against unfair contracts given out because OOTP couldn't judge talent. It started with Travis Neal and you (along with others) continued it on with about 6 more signings, which yes allowed a dynasty. So yes if paying superstars $5m a year (TJ Dunn) because you can manipulate the game creates dynasties then you are correct, I don't want dynasties.

After looking at other leagues and posts on the OOTP boards the league voted for the 1st Arb stamp. So I'd say we wanted that. It's now at 2 due to a league office mandate. Carlos brought up a contract today saying that 2 is "what we don't want" when the guy already had 3 stamps.

If someone wants to try and change financials then please write a proposal. But please do two things first. One, contact Brad. He knows and understands financials more than anyone. Two, start a SP league. Change the financials to what the BLB has, and run lots of tests. This way you can see for the most part what will happen as well as share it with everyone else. I'm all for voting yes to anything as long as I can see the results.

Guys, I mistakenly thought it was a 2 stamp contract and shark was saying he took advantage of it.

This was resolved hours ago. I have no idea why it's still going on.

                                - I'm really cool with anything. I still think UMD's statement isn't wrong. As time goes we just need to adapt to whatever.

Right now I'm on some weird 2025 range while attempting a soft tank. Not even sure what time of team I want to be in the future so all is good.
