I got wrecked in arbitration, too. A learning experience.

Is it arbitration related to performance?

Yes. Basic stats like wins, saves, homers, etc. go a long way.

I'm not sure. I just leave in the amounts the computer suggests for me and the arbitrator seems to accept the team option more often than not.

I also couldn't help but notice that Dusty Filar had an arbitration amount of $16 000 000, and is now asking for $500 000. Nice!

I won every arbitration hearing. I don't think I've ever done that.

Pawtucket letting some more players walk.

Simple case of reality . Lol least we have a few first and second rounders to help us along. (Cup half full)

Arbitration went about as expected. I have a bunch of money to spend on FA, but I have a lot of young players everywhere fighting for jobs. Not a bad predicament coming off another lost Brewmasters.

If anyone out there needs players but doesn't want to spend FA prices, reach out to me. I have two ace pitchers I can deal in Willie Fajardo and Dave Baldwin. I also have 1B/DH TJ Dunn on a one year deal that can still hit.

I'd really like to add a defensive C that can hit righties to platoon with Lehnhoff and to be his defensive replacement against lefties.

I could use a true CF that can hit lefties.

I'd be willing to trade anyone in this post for those two positions and if you don't want to add that much salary I have these young BLB ready players/prospects for a C and a CF:

RJ Marshall, Pat Decker, Joey Kane, Jimmy Centofanti, Jamie Talbot, JD Harper, Jamie August, Jarrod Brown, Ron Danielson, Ed Hoffman, Jon Jones, Tom Ragosta.

I'm open to talking before buying what I need in FA 1 & 2.

Offered Cardona $4 mil but the arbitrator ruled in favor of him and he got $5.5 mil. Would've liked the extra cash, but that's still a decent price for him. Won my case with Johnson and lost with Farris, but that was only like a $100k difference.

                        Matt/Brad/Z,

Any thoughts on we can resolve this Manning situation?

I'm gonna have to release a new file. No imports can be used without advancing so it will be like starting over for everyone.

Before I do this does anyone else see this is any transaction logs so we don't have to do this again?

                            Thanks Matt.

Oscar Sanchez on Pawtucket was the only other one in the HTML transactions log that had a buyout and showed the same thing as Manning. However, he actually went into the FA pool.

Pawtucket did that on purpose . We just needed to shed salary. Do we really need to start over ??

Right. We did the same thing for Manning which it shows in the HTML logs but he's still on my roster and sucking back a valuable $8M from us.

Starting over is reissuing the Dec 1st file with Manning off my roster.
