      Congrats to the champs!

As for umd, you may consider it bad luck or think that nothing seems to work, but I think the fact you've been there five times proves you're doing something right.

Don't think your work isn't paying off in some way. It's getting you this far. Doing less could get you in the position that the rest of us are in every year.

Congrats to the champs! As to being 0-5 in championship series I for one would be tickled to get to a championship. You're certainly managing at a high level to get to that record.

Congrats to both finalists and to Wilmington for the win.
I'm not sure how I feel about a guy who didn't have a lot of time to manage his team winning the World Series, haha.
Maybe I should try the same. Clearly I'm the problem.

Parks, hope you're life settles in and you resolve all the issues you're dealing with.

          On to OOTP 17? Nice!

On the plus side of this loss, here are the only players 30+ in the organization that will be back next season:

OF Vinny DeMetz (39) - popular career minor leaguer and AAA legend who will have his number 41 retired by Reno this season.

1B TJ Dunn (37) - picking up his option but on the trade block.

SP Willie Fajardo (30) - on the trade block.

RP Melvin Hurtado (31) - popular and on minor league deal.

MR Pat Matson (30) - popular and on minor league deal.

We'll say goodbye to Abe Santana, Erik Pearsall and Kat Oto and add some more vets in FA at CF and C. The rest of our organization is under 30. Hopefully we will have another lengthy playoff streak.

Dave Webber is ranked the #15 hitter in the league, after playing just 18 games.

Not sure I've seen a guy crack the list so soon.

He's going to be good. He has the same OSA potential ratings as Jimmy McGraw. I hope he can be just as talented while playing Centerfield.

I don't know if I'll regret taking Healey over Webber especially since Healey is also going to be good and play amazing defense at third.

                          Webber could be a .300, 40 HR, 120 RBI guy while Healey is a .300 / .375, 6 triples, 20 sb guy.

                          Where's that scale...

I would't have regretted you doing it... I wanted Healey! It's interesting to read these threads and thinking about why you took a guy and passed on another only to look a few years later and say Yeah! or @#$%!
