        I understand.

There are a lot of important races going on for playoff spots and seeding. Especially in the Domestic League, where seven teams are competing for four spots. Plus home field advantage can be so crucial a factor in the short three-game series.

I feel better about teams having the extra day to make decisions.

Unlike last year, September has not been kind to us.

Not having guys healthy at the same time has been a big factor.

Davila missed most of July and August.

Suarez has only played 89 games and just returned for the weekend series after missing seven weeks.

Schubert started the season strong but appears to finally be done as a regular after his most recent injury.

Nara missed six weeks this summer with a thumb injury.

Johnston, who has quietly been one of the very best third basemen in the game, sat out the first two weeks of September with a swollen knee.

Now Rowles, one of the league's top second baseman, has been banged up for the better part of an important week.

On top of all those injuries, Diego Flores to have hit a late season wall.

So I credit the lack of lineup health and stability the last few months with the September swoon.

I still feel optimistic about our playoff chances because our rotation is tremendous (even without Hernandez), the back end of the bullpen is strong, and the middle part of the bullpen will be strengthened by a regular season starter or two soaking up those innings. If our lineup is healthy and present, we can beat anyone.

It feels like a long time ago.

A time when a guy called Twinkle Toes ruled the mound.

                      Those times are gone.

Its funny now when you "Ironman" its not Ironman of old. Even that won't help it seems once a guy enters his mid- late 30's. All it takes is the one injury then just like they spiral.

OOTP did a really good job changing the way injuries work in this version.

For your team its been a longtime coming. Happy for you (just giving you shit) I spent time looking in game yesterday and all we needed was ONE extra win versus Indy and we would of been right in it. Again, we have kicked outselves all season.

Hindsight 20/20.......needed to put an extra lefty starting against Indy (Yes JJ pretty glaring weakness you have)

Of course, it helps not having a commissioner who edits injury ratings.
