A disastrous September crushed the Guides' hopes for a division crown. Now we fight with Wilmington and Pittsburgh to secure the top wild card spot.

Dave Lippert got win #200. I was beginning to think it wasn't going to happen. The guy appears to have run full speed into a wall, much like the rest of my team.

Pawtucket 5-2. Its the week I was hoping for, but sadly Indy didn't collapse as much as I hoped and worse yet Toronto had a better week then us.

        Cup half full:

We should end this decade above .500 which marks a really really good decade for us.

We were 19 game below .500 June 25th so really happy on the effort and didn't throw in the towel despite some trades for the future of this team. We probably had on of the better records since then (not in game so just guessing)

        Cup half empty:

We were 19 game below .500 and alot had to do with some piss poor decisions by Funclown. Some pre-sims missed on my end and couple of rotations gaffs really sent us reeling in May.

The McDade trade probably costed us the wildcard.

Were still not out of this $$$$ mess.

Will miss our first post-season in 9 years and couldn't sweep the decade. Sucks.

A guess a miracle can happen, but I'm being realistic now. Its been a good run.

Getting swept by New Orleans is going to kill me...had to face Engstrom and Ke back to back at a really inopportune time. I finish with LA and Kansas City, but Pawtucket is playing so damn good.

            You got this.

In late August Maine swept us in 3 games all by one run and two of the games in extra innings. That was the season for us.

Dallas Tops the DL for the play-offs... Time to get all the starters in again to start the postseason in full swing?? Or shall I leave them woth the counts down to avoid injuries?? Or God. I don't want to micromanage this wrongly now...

It still could happen. All of your games are at home...where the Mohawks are 47-28.

True. But it also depends on what Pawtucket and LA do.
I'd have to sweep this next week and I don't trust my stupid bullpen from not blowing at least 2 games.

                      I admire your optimism though.

We'll head in to the final week 1 game behind Philly. Good news is that we do play them coming up. Bad news is that it's a series in their stadium and we barely managed a hit against them in our series a couple of sims ago. We then head to New York to close out the year, so it's not going to be easy at all. Given that the Freedom close at Carolina, I'm not sure anything less than a sweep will be good enough for us to take the Stout.

Disappointing month of September. I'm encouraged by what my two prospects, Roseboom and Thompson, have given me. But the rest of the team just fell off.

Congrats to UMD and the Scorpions for taking the Bock. We were in a good position going into September, where we had a very favorable schedule. We just couldn't get the job done. Windy City will enter the playoffs as a wild card for the second straight year. Still our best season in almost a decade, with a lot to look forward to. Looking at the numbers Jimmys Gray and Lee have had substandard years, so I'm pretty happy that we've done as well as we have. Hopefully our pitching can get back on track for the playoffs and give us a chance to win some games. Looks like we might get a rematch against Washington, who knocked us out in last year's Wild Card round.

7 game win streak. We're also playing extremely well-rested due to a funky schedule. It's allowing us to roll with a 4 man rotation.

This could be the first playoff appearance since the Los Lunas days!

Looks like my rebuild is over. Back to the playoffs we go with a nice sized injury list to go with that nice sized hot list. The kids have played well while the vets have led the way. We lost our best player (Marrero) months ago and could be division champs. Go figure.
