It was a 6-0 week for the first place Washington Bats. I could get used to saying that, but I probably shouldn't since my next 7 games are on the road, including a trip to Batavia.

But, it was good this week. Welcome back, Ed Carroll. Hopefully that solidifies my rotation if he can actually stay off the DL. Dave Lippert has been a machine so far this season, putting himself squarely in the Pale Ale discussion. Israel Rodriguez has been pretty lights out since his struggles in the first month.

We got big weeks at the plate from Turnbow and Herrington to make the pitching stand up. Not a whole lot from some other guys, but just enough to win the games.

      Good week.

I guess going 3-3 versus Maine then on the road to Wilmington is pretty good considering.

Good July, see if it continues.

Morgantown can eat a bag of dicks.

At least Corr debuted on the top 100. Small victories.

Not a good sim. Luckily, we get to go back home for a bit here. We need to stay afloat in August, and I think September is going to be our month. We play 18 home games vs. 10 road games in September. Given our inability to win on the road, that's our last hope to have a meaningful season.

So, if a guy comes back from a 4 month injury and suffers a new 8 week injury in an injury rehab start, is that bad? Asking for a friend.

Note to self: In the future, use pitch counts on rehabbing starters. The game won't manage it on its own.

It was 26 at AAA level . . . unless I confused Hartford with another team. Check your DFA and see if any new players appear there (I had to DFA a player to get to 25 on the roster).

2-2 vs. Davenport, 1-2 vs. Death Valley. Seattle is now 2nd in the Bock, .5 games behind DVS and tied for the 6th IL Wild Card with New York. Not looking good.

5-2 sim. Took care of Pittsburgh which is a big series win for us.

But we lost 2B Jimmy Anderson and RP Ted Hatch for the year. Might be in the market for a 2B and more bullpen help.

If the price is too steep, then we might try our hand next year with everybody more developed and save our aggression for then.
