That went as poorly as I expected it would go.

Maybe next year we can have a consistent season.

        7-0...atop the division.

Let's see what this team can do in the 2nd half when we get our top pitcher (Clark) and top hitter (Stark) back.

Hirasawa is back with a vengeance. After winning New Brew in '17 he was demoted to AAA and only got 4 starts in '18. At the break he's 10-1 with a 2.54 ERA and sadly wasn't even close to getting an All-Star nod. We do send C Fowler (his 4th straight) and 'Lord' Stark who sadly will miss the game due to injury.

Didn't even realize you got him from Andrew. That was a steal and lucky break for KC. I claimed him but wanted him so we contacted the NO front office but the deal fell through. Saw Andrew scooped him up (of course) but then to get a 2nd and a player for him...good GM'ing there.

5-1 in Washington, bringing us into a 3 way tie for 2nd in the Stout. Just a crazy division so far. We re-found our bats at the plate this week, led by Moody, Urmson and Abrams. Also nice work by the pitching staff to only give up 10 runs on the week, as we outscored our opponents 31-10.

All-Star rosters were announced. The Bats lead the IL with 7 All-Stars:

5-2 sim to get back over .500. Hell of a response to Briseno going down.

In other news, Jonathan Morales has one walk in 197 at-bats.

Marrero done for the season. Season over. If you see anyone 28 or over you like on my roster just ask. Willie Fajardo could help someone and so could Dunn. I can help with money.

July has been kind to us, as the offense has finally showed up (at least for 2 weeks so far). We languished as a .500 team for 2 full months, but the return of Kidwell seems to have righted the ship (for now). .289 | .347 | .454 as a team in July, with a run differential of +32. If this keeps up, and our pitching staff maintains its level, we'll take our chances as a wild card.

August 12th is the trading deadline.

Horrible sim for the Blues. 1-6 against NY and WAS. We're simply a terrible team on the road. So far this season we're 29-14 at home and 18-29 on the road. I have to get that figured out.

Top prospect Zachary Smith is trying to hit his way into the BLB this year. With the way my outfield keeps getting hurt, he has a real shot.

The 19 year old Smith would be the first player born in the 2000s to play in the BLB.

Driggs, Arsenault and Salazar getting their first All-Star appareances, really glad to see young Sharks climbing the ladder.

What about Driggs being a UFA, released by Denver when he got his first shot into the league? Oh man, he must be one of the sweet all-time histories in the BLB.

Crazy that CF Geoff Reisinger has appeared on the top player list.

I trusted my scout at draft time and was reluctant to pick him. Reisinger was also my first pick in a true "rebuild" mindset. I figured with that mindset, I better go all in on scouting/PD and trust my elite scout always.

It's certainly worked out so far with Reisinger, Owens, Folland.
