  • Participation Requirements

Participation has slacked off a little bit since we resumed play so I'd like to highlight Section 1 of the BLB rules:

    Owners
    * Responsible for participating regularly. This includes exporting your teams, posting in the forums, responding to trade offers, writing articles, etc.
    * Must participate in one of these ways, at least once per week. Owners should notify the Commissioner if they won?t be able to do so.

From this point forward, the bolded part will be enforced. This isn't an issue for most of you but some havn't been around very much recently.

When we resume play on Aug. 20th, the following policy will be in effect:

    - You must participate in some way at least once per week. It can be simply sending an export, writing an article, posting in the Sim threads, etc.
    - You must respond to all trade offers.
    - If you are unable to participate for an extended period of time (vacations, etc), please post in the owner contact forum. You can notify me by IM and email as well but I'd prefer if you posted since I don't have a very good memory.
    - A waiting list will be formed to replace any MIA owners in a timely manner. Obviously unforeseen issues come up, so some slack will be given to Owners who normally participate on a regular basis.

There are several reasons for doing this:
1st, when Scouts are enabled after this season people who don't export regularly will be at a serious disadvantage.
2nd, Although this goes against my original invitations, I think the league is a lot more fun when people are active on the forums and writing articles.
3rd, I want to weed out the people who aren't that into it and get new owners in before we get too far because it will be harder to replace people as we go along.

This might sound harsh, but I really don't think it's asking too much.

EDIT - Removed "Voting in Polls" as participation since I can't tell who actually voted.

EDIT2 - Added requirement for responding to trade offers. If your contact info isn't correct, please let me know.

Huh? You just want me to give him your money? He perform some favors or something?

Oh and bump again. I didn't want to single people out but Los Lunas, Denver and Carolina are all on the bubble here. I'm not chasing people down so if you want to continue, start participating. I have a few owners already on the wait list who would be happy to take over.

If you're going to be away for an extended period of time, please let me know or I'll assume you're not interested anymore.

I did promise to do so in the forums and I am a man of my word. He just cracks me up.

Wow, and we have our first openly gay owners to come out in the BLB! Apparently it's the 70's and Mahoney and Wessinmouse aren't jsut experimenting with drugs!

At a press conference held earlier today, GM Herb Wessinmouse of the Los Alamos Mayhem announced that all team/player bonuses from this years Mayhem All-Stars will be donated to the Pawtucket Patriots.

When asked why, Wessinmouse was quoted as saying, "Haven't they been through enough?" Wessinmouse then put on a stovepipe hat, pinched a monacle to his right eye and tap-danced off the dais.

If they get bumped from the league, can I take over Los Lunas?

And stick a new person with the mess you created, I think not.

What mess? I've been slowly climbing up in wins. I'm near the top in AVE and OBA in the IL (at least I was last time I checked.) One of two IL teams with OPS over.700. NOT TO MENTION my PTY/REC of -5!

You're just lucky I'm not in your division.
