Having a really hard time here.

After winning 70% of our games in April and May, we lost 70% of our games in June.

Fernando Hernandez is out for probably the rest of the year with a shoulder injury.

We're slowly getting some of our outfielders back.

It just feels like the wheels fell off in June.

Got to put them back on now.

Oh, and Antonio Banuelos will be in free agency next sim.

If yesterday's game against Kansas City in which Fernando Hernandez left with shoulder inflammation ends up being his last Brewers League appearance, well, seven shutout innings of four-hit ball -- his 273rd career win --- that's not a bad way to go out.

Erik Surmeier passed Voodoo Davila for the #1 spot on the BLB player rankings.

                  Maybe for good.

Three weeks ago? He cleared waivers.

I could have assigned him to AAA now if I wanted to because the rule went into effect this sim.

                      But I decided not to.

I doubt it. With Slack on the roster, really hard to find a spot for him. If I didn't have a first baseman, I would have been after him when you first DFAed him.

I guess I'll see what his price is and decide. I'm sure an injury will hit us soon enough.

Bats go 4-2, winning both series at Batvia and vs Philly. I'm happy with that, and 4-2 is probably my best sim in about 2 months in game. The fans like the addition of Herrington and the players are looking forward to his leadership it tells me. The last email I got said the clubhouse was doing just fine, but hopefully he'll help. I've always liked that Herrington is "focused like a laser beam on winning." He didn't hit well at all his first week here, but that's ok.

Dave Schneider won Rookie of the Month. Taking a look around the IL rookies, I think he'd be a leading candidate for New Brew right now.

Dave Lippert is putting up great numbers. He's also clearly aging. Hopefully he can hold it together for what's likely his last run here in DC.

Well, first losing week of the season. Hopefully the last, mysteriously tied with Z's debacle... He might not want Dallas to run away with the #1 DL seed...

Got smashed by Hartford in one game and swept by the Millers.
