    Rough sim for us.

Nara gets hurt. Now we have three quality outfielders on the disabled list: Nara, Schubert, and Suarez.

Plus we lost the last six games of the sim, including an embarrassing four game sweep at Toronto.

    We're out of sorts.

Let's see how we deal with adversity.

Seattle goes 5-1, winners in nine of the last 12.

This week the Pilots swept the Bats in Seattle, then took two of three in Davenport. Seattle is winning using the old Washington Bats philosophy of pitching and defense. The Pilots are 1st in the BLB in pitching and in defense.

              6-1!

Tom Palmer liked returning home. Hitting .348 this week with 2 HRs. He's going to move to the 4th OF slot now that Reisinger returns from injury.

We also recently called up Bires/Beseman to stabilize the bullpen and although it's not a permanent solution, it has helped.

Our bench coach is also reporting our chemistry is really coming together. It probably helps that our core team has come up through the system together.

In other news....Dylan Owens is leading the league in All Star votes, beating out his fellow draft class member Erik Surmeier.

I knew this was going to be a tough sim, but I'm still not happy with 2-5. Every time we start to get some momentum we run right into a brick wall. Hopefully, we can start to turn things around here and get back into the hunt for the Bock Title.

I'm loving that there's no clear cut favorite for the division. We've had a different team leading each of the last 3 sims, with DVS currently only one game back it's conceivable that we'll extend that streak. I'm hoping that that doesn't happen as we have a series against them this sim.

On another note, we shook up our lineup this last sim with the addition of Talley and we're making some moves in our bullpen for the next sim. I'm really unhappy that our bullpen ERA remains at 3.50, and I'm hoping that moving around the least productive arms and replacing them will get us moving in the right direction.

0-6 and we have hit rock bottom. Literally.

Doesn't look like the pitching staff was ready to lose all of that experience at once and we stunk it up. I don't think we've ever "earned" a Top Ten pick but it looks like this is going to be the year.

Ironically, DJ Gosser is having the type of season that he probably won't be able to duplicate, currently on a 30-game hit streak and statistically one of the best 3 or 4 best hitters in the game.

We've made some wholesale changes in our move to the future. We've placed veterans, Danny Romero (IF), R.J. Wadja (RP) and Todd Robideau (C) on waivers. Romero is Baltimore Bailout III, a terrible decision on my part. But when you are aggressive with making moves, this happens from time to time.

We've also demoted Fabian Erazo (IF), R.J Hostetter (OF) and J.J.Carver (IF) to make room for Malik Roberson (OF) and Tom Perry (IF) who come off the DL. We grabbed former Bulldog prospect, Ian Phelan (RP) off waivers from Toronto. We also promote our little nephew, Dave Dillard who has been amazing in AAA this year. Finally, we also call up Tom Brady (RP) to see if the kid can help our bullpen.

I guess I get to experience a full rebuild, unintentionally.

We finally break free of the .500 sims and win 4. But Seattle wins 5. So we sit .5 back.

Somehow leading the league in runs scored. Not exactly sure how but despite some poor performances, as a team we are playing well offensively.

If only the bullpen, most notably Threatt and Perez, can get their act together.

Pawtucket 3-3. Was hoping for better.

Hate to say it, but we just aren't a good team. See how the rest of June goes , but we very could be seller for the first time in a decade.
