By the way, loljk. Still wouldn't mind trading up.

EDIT: Traded up to get Johnny Hoffman from Baylor at #18. Has the potential to be an above average offensive 3B as well as a plus defender.

    • It'll be interesting to see which of these players pan out in the future, as most of them seem to have a lot of upside and just as much potential downside.

I'm not sure if its just me, or the fact that the Kodiaks perennially suck, but I love this time of the year!!

      • Excited to see Zack Molina drop to 1.20. I had six players on my list at 1.9 and he's the last one left. His stats match my scout 5-5-6-6-5 more than they match OSA, he looks like a plus defender, his work ethic is there, and he's a switch hitter.

        • Can somebody PM me when it gets to my 2.7? I've been busy with some travel this week.

I realize I can subscribe to the draft updates but I don't want an email every time there is a pick.

          • Syracuse gets an A+ draft grade.

Jake turned 1.10 into Ron Nucci, 1.26 and a 2020 2nd. I think if Syracuse would have taken Nucci at #10, it would have been a solid selection.

            Well done, Syracuse GM.

My scout has him with a bunch of 3's.

                Nice pick.

I actually just saw him earlier today. Somehow I missed him when organizing my top 50 board.

My scout doesn't think he can play anywhere but 1B/DH in the pros but I think he could be special.

                  • Out of the 4 guys I was considering at 13 only Molina was gone when 21 came up. Makes me feel better about trading down. At 13 I would have taken Molina, since I think he will be the best out of the guys I was considering. The last thing I need right now is another 3B, so I'm happy to have lost out on him.

Instead I took LF Skiles. This is a matter of trusting my scout, who hasn't been wrong often. He sees Skiles as 5/5/6/6/5 potential, which is quite a bit better than OSA. He also sees him as an elite defender with 6/6/7 OF ratings, but undeveloped at any position with 4/3/3 for the three OF positions. I'm hoping that I can shuffle him around in the minors and turn him into somebody that can play all three OF positions with decent hitting ratings. We'll see what happens.

                    • You guys are super dialed in.

This has got to be the fastest start to a draft that started on a Tuesday in November, and the Comets picked first.

                      • California is willing to trade 2.3 and every pick after the third round to move back into the first round if our guy is still there.

                        • Pick is in. Washington selects 1B Jimmy Harris out of Morton West HS.

He doesn't really fit my usual plan for a first round pick, but I didn't really see anyone who did. My scout likes his bat, he's hit well in HS and we'll roll the dice and see if it pans out.

I was surprised to see two prospects remaining from my Top 10 list. I went with the safer of the two players but might end up regretting it down the road.
Very nice pick. Liked him a lot but didnt think he would last to 19.
