With the 5th pick, Indianapolis selects 1B Tommy Corr from Miami. My scout has him as the best bat in the draft, and I think he'll be in the majors sooner rather than later.

I strongly considered Bradford at #1.

That makes me feel better about my draft boat!

He was my #1... Hopefully he develops as my scout and I hope.

          LA selects SP Wes Perry.

I liked a couple of other kids in the draft but this was probably the safest pick for the slot.

KC takes SP Dave Cawley from Cal State Fullerton. It was a toss up between Cawley and Wes Perry but Jimmy made my pick easier by taking Perry. Cawley was another guy I considered at #1 so really happy to get him here.

That's a nice start to the draft for KC.

Took me roughly an hour to decide between Cawley and Corr.

Is there docs on how the draft works for online leagues?

Denver goes with LF Ed Zahn out of Texas A&M.

I have concerns about his fielding, but it's hard to ignore his potential power, speed and discipline. He's probably going to strike out a lot, but it seems he'll work the count in the process.

In what respect, Nemesis? From a tool perspective we use a draft utility that's part of the StatsLab suite. The draft class is exported from the game and the utility displays what is essentially the league scout view from a ratings standpoint.

From a rules perspective we have time limits by round and the clock runs during prescribed times.

I'm shopping pick 1.9. Looking for a power hitter. I'll also trade down or into next year's draft.

Yeah, I was wondering if it was similar to FOF and Conscriptor or if OOTP was able to actually build the ability to draft through the game.

I have experience with both, and IMO the StatsLab utility is much more seamless than the conscriptor app for FOF, but yes, StatsLab is an extension app and not within the game engine itself.
