I'm not sure who I would have taken #1... This 1st round is really lacking "that guy."

My scout had Viger #1 on his draft list but there was five guys I thought had a real chance to go first. But I think you made the smart choice.

I consider it his expectation of how the draft will go... Not his big board.

There already seems to be some discrepancies between him and popular opinion, so this will be an interesting draft for me.

This is truth. My guy doesn't like his #1 at all, but is in love with his #12. I think it's his predictions of who you all will draft, and he doesn't respect your drafting very much at all.

I know it's my turn but I didn't have much chance to do much research into this draft over the holiday weekend. I'm down to 2 or 3 guys I like but it will be sometime early evening before I can pull the trigger on someone. Just wanted you to know so y'all didn't have to be sending me "it's your turn" messages.

No worries, the holiday fell at just the right time this year to torpedo the normal cadence of the draft. No rush.

With the 2nd overall pick the Davenport Brawlers select CF Tom Klotz. I expect him to be a pretty good hitter and take care of center field defensively for years to come. Here's hoping Klotz doesn't turn out to be a klutz.

The #1 guy on my board from the beginning. Nice one, I think.

California pick will be in shortly, unless we're blown away.

California drafts P Dan Bradford from the Texas Longhorns. There were three or four pitchers that I considered here, but my scout thought the Dan would the only one that could develop into a front of the rotation starter. His high intelligence and high leadership also added to the package.

Bradford was the other guy I was looking at.
