I've thought about it as well, but it seems you'd need to have a bunch of guys with high stamina in order to make it work. Probably a Trainer that is really good at Fatigue Recovery as well. Even if they're not throwing as many pitches, they'd be getting into more games. Finding enough guys with the attributes to make it work might be difficult, but I've never made much of an effort since I've had plenty of guys for my rotation since I took over here.

      That's not bad Paul.

When the Colorado Rockies started playing around with different rotation ideas, including having an entire staff of relievers that throw 2-3 innings a game, I tested it on OOTP 14 or 15 in a solo league.

It did not go well. Guys were always exhausted which ended up affecting the design later into the season. We don't have enough control so sometimes a guy would throw more than 3 innings because of pitch counts, or get pulled too soon because managers.

      It was a disaster.

Now the 4 man rotation on an 80 pitch count is more doable and I actually did it for two sims last season, though with 90 pitches as the max. It turned out okay. But it's scary because I fear injuries.

I only did it because I wanted certain starters lined up to go twice. It was a make or break two weeks for us. The pitchers did fine but our offense didn't help so the end result didn't matter.

        4 man rotation
        40 starts x 80 pitches/start = 3200 pitches

With the added bonus of no lousy fifth starter.
I'm not sure all pitchers would be rested on 80 pitches every 4th day.

Not one team neccessarily defended well to start the season. Ugly.

Seattle is definitely sacrificing defense for offense this year.

They'll be rested but not 100%

If you have 4 guys with 8-8-8 ratings, 80% performance probably won't hurt you much.

When it's 4 guys with 5-5-5, you can't afford that performance loss.

I don't think I never saw a player like him in OOTP speaking about ratings at least.

I think a lot of GMs felt that way. I know as soon as he was at UCLA people thought he'd be special.

I guess Babe Ruth was like him, adding he knew how to throw the rock :)

Can't wait to live this moment in the BLB and see how many records he can break.

Here's to hoping the Kodiak losing culture doesn't break the young man! It feels like we are close to turning the corner.

Didn't have the time i wanted to have to get everything set up this offseason, but glad to see the regular season back. Time to get back on track and make a legit run at this thing.

I can tell your team is indeed about to turn the corner, We had a thought time out there in the opening series.
