Nice to see that Thomas's contact rating went back up from 5 to 6, after dropping from 6 to 5 last year.
His eye potential also increased from 4 to 5. His eye rating actually increased from 3 to three years ago. So maybe he can improve north of 30 years of age?

Had to return JJ Moore to AAA. He's only 22 and he didn't hit particularly well in ST despite giving him lots of games.
Waigand made the team and will be our main utility IFer.
I feel pretty good about him.
If he can hit for average, I may even look into dealing Jaime if we don't make the playoffs.
He has sick hands and can play all IF positions and even some CF.

Seattle signed veteran DH Jamie McInturf, the best remaining Free-Agent for $8.5M. I might have overpaid as I think I was the only team bidding but after the budgets got locked in, I was left with about $12M to spend.

My plan is to actually play him at catcher. He is rated 3/3 at the position, was never good at it, and hasn't played regularly behind the plate in ages...

11-3 sim, 16-12 overall this spring, and everyone made it through healthy. In the words of American philosopher Roscoe Dash, leggo.

The Bats have made it through ST without suffering an injury. That's all I ever hope for. We actually played a bit better this sim to make our record ok as well.

I'm really happy with how CJ Turnbow played so hopefully he can build on last season's solid debut year.

The only thing left to decide for me is who gets the nod in LF. I was expecting to go with Schneider there, but he was outplayed in ST by Roseboom. Outside of that spot, I'm pretty sure set on the rest of my roster.

I also re-signed Pat Wayman and Israel Rodriguez last sim, so at least some of my business is taken care of before the mass exodus is scheduled to happen at the end of this season.

                    WTH???
                    Morgantown with 100 wins?!?!

I'd love to think the sim knows something I don't, but my pitching staff is average - at best.
I think I have a decent set of bats and I think I have a decent defensive team.
If we get over 85 wins I'll be happy.

But, if Garza can stay way from those dangerous coffee tables, we may have a shot at a wild card spot.

No injuries and an impressive showing in the 2nd half of ST.

In all my years in the BLB, I don't think I have had such a volatile team to enter the season. Nothing would surprise me. We have the talent to compete for the division... But the age/decline and fragility that we could finish last. According to the Off-Season page we lost the 2nd most talent this off-season according to WAR. Safe bet would assume a near .500 record, especially with an owner who lowered his expectations to just a winning record.

We open the season on the road in a re-match of the Bock division Lonnie Coleman game with Los Alamos. Then we host the dark horse pick Windy City.

                        I'll be happy with 3-3.

Good luck to all teams in the coming season!

                            I love that guy.

Lost a lot of sleep choosing between him and King. Can't believe Superfly is BLB ready.
