Enjoy the one of the best parts of OOTP!! Time to build up your team, make some trades to be the next Z with his Maine Guides!!

    From Dallas,
Our owner had the pleasure to communicate that the loyalty of our fans has increase to the next level. I am feeling really glad about this, something is being done correctly here! If I only know what are the advantages of this... by the OOTP Guide "Describes how loyal your fans are. Loyal fans mean better and more consistent attendance, even when your team isn't performing well." We had several stretches when we werenīt performing well in which our attendance was very bad, I guess this will help...

Our Owner didnīt touch our budget which is good, however our young stars will get paid by arbitration, is going to be a quiet off-season in Dallas, at least bringing FAs.

Though decision to make with Willie Rivera, he had a fantastic April, May and July, but September and October were awful, however made that up with a scoreless 2 innings against the champions in the Divisional game in which he participated. If we are going to pay the 22nd highest salary in the league for relievers, he has to be at least a Setup man. Jimenez and Flores will be back from their respective injuries, Arsenault is younger and playing better than him. Heīs no longer a power hitter but keeps the ball in the park... I have to think about this a lot.

REMINDER TO ALL TO SEND OUT MINOR LEAGUE CONTRACT OFFERS TO ALL YOUR IMPENDING FAs!

This happens every year, sometimes where Top 100 prospects, end up as Free-Agents when all you have to do is offer then a free minor league deal.

      Big changes in Seattle.

Officially headed to Free-Agency: SP Felipe Vega (#14 Top Pitcher), SP Jamie Stidham (3.5 WAR), CL Robby Scriber (#5 CL), RP Fernando Ocmapo (#2 set-up), 3B Zachary Henne (2.3 WAR)

Officially on the roster: OF Hidetoshi Haraguchi, OF Zachary Oldham, C J.D. Burrell, C Dave Morrison, RP Ted Self

The Pilots are losing a lot of talent and will probably enter the off-season as one of the highest in WAR lost. The five players leaving are asking a combined $50M! With that in mind, my owner lowered our season expectations considerably while increasing our budget. He just wants a winning record in 2019, with a goal of $15M profit by 2021, and long term build a Championship Team in 2023. Our budget is now $126M up from $114M.

We enter the off-season with $20M in estimated budget room, without a full staff and possible tweaks to the scouting/player development budgets coming. With the departures, our biggest hole easily becomes the bullpen. A group that ranked just 8th in the IL in ERA, is now without their #1 and #3 best options. This team is going to have to score more than it did in 2018 to be competitive, which won't be easy. The pressure falls on veterans Haraguchi and Ethan Stuart to stay healthy, which, is a long shot.

Good luck to all this off-season.

Excited to have some financial flexibility headed into my first offseason. Overhauling the bullpen and team defense are my main priorities, and I'm hoping to retain a few guys provided they sign for what I'm comfortable offering them.

My owner wasn't pleased with my season. He wanted me to re-sign Wayne Nelson and also steal more bases, and I chose to do neither of those things.

This coming season, I will be delivering more disappointment. He wants a hometown player, and to re-sign Dave Nelson. Dave is currently asking for $117M over 5 years, so that's not going to happen.

Besides that, my budget remained steady. I was hoping for an increase, but we're in solid financial shape. I've got some spending money if I need it - I'm well under budget at the moment - but I'm not planning to make a huge splash this offseason. With Lippert and Urmson both entering their last seasons under contract, it's probably going to be about making smart acquisitions to see if this group can make another run at a title in 2019.

My owner said "I am happy with your performance in accomplishing the goals I had set out for you. That being said, when I factor in the team's on-field and financial performance, my overall impression is not quite as cheerful. "

We won 14 more games than last year and made the playoffs while turning a $3.2 million profit. We scored more and gave up fewer runs than we ever have under my leadership. I don't know what more he's looking for.

He did add $10 million to our budget but I don't think we'll be making big splashes this offseason since Feliciano decided to exercise his option. I will be looking to add another bat or two, but probably not anything groundbreaking. At this point it's all about keeping my core group together while getting them the experience they need to know how to win. I'll need to keep some money in the bank for when these guys start getting expensive.

Even BIGGER changes in Pawtucket. After dominating pretty much all decade father time/ the tax collector is upon us.

Yes we can run the debt up, but its also not realistic baseball. We've tried to do our best to raise revenue, trade when possible and even lost top players for nothing. Still, now we need to take a step back and try to ummmm "build on the fly"? Never tried this concept before, but I dont like playing it the same way twice. See how it all works out.

We will move some bodies, hope I still know how to draft and see how it all shapes out.

Pat Larrison keeps talking about seeing the ball better.

Larrison Ready to Get Back on the Field: Pat Larrison made the hard decision just weeks ago to have elective eye surgery. For years, he had struggled with his vision along with his batting average. Now the 27 year old has gone though successful surgery and hopes to have a new beginning at the plate. Said Larrison, "It was definitely a scary thing but I feel like I am already seeing the ball a ton better in rehab. I can't wait to get 100% and see what I can do."

I'm still waiting for his recovery time to be over and see if he doesn't get a bump in the eye rating. That would be huge, as it's the biggest thing holding him back.
