I'm still missing something on the financial end, and I know I've asked this before, but I'm still confused...

Stark seems to have played three seasons at $280K and all of my guys (Filar, Wescott) are only getting two seasons at $280K. Am I not working their contracts correctly. The games played seem to be fairly similar.

Again, I apologize, because I know this has been asked and answered, but I'm still clearly in the dark.

            EDIT

Your guys are "Super 2" players. Here's a better explanation from the OOTP manual

Who is eligible for salary arbitration?
Players who have at least three years, but fewer than six years, of major league service time as of the day after the playoffs end are eligible for salary arbitration. Additionally, players who are in the top 17% of service time among players with at least 2 years of service time are also eligible for salary arbitration. These are known as "Super 2" arbitration cases. They behave exactly like normal arbitration cases.
In MLB I believe the "Super 2" percentage is 22% so I'm not sure if OOTP has been updated to match and the manual is out of date or if OOTP still uses 17%.

This is also why you'll see MLB teams delay calling up top prospects until after the first month. It guarantees they won't reach "Super 2" status and delays their arbitration/FA eligibility for an extra year.

That makes total sense. Thanks Gentlemen. I should have kept Morla down longer.

Cool, we'll be simming Brewmasters 1 this evening. Plan is to SIM our normal 7 days, which could result in a completed series OR lead to a 2nd Brewmasters SIM to finish games 6 and 7 if necessary.

IF the Brewmasters ends in 4 or 5 games we'll stop right at the completion of the series and a league file will go out with our new IND owner (we normally push right to the beginning of the offseason after the Brewmasters, but this season we'll stop right at the completion of the series to give JJ a chance to make decisions on several key assets that are pending FA).

Once we're confirmed that he's good to go and has had a chance to put in extension offers, if any, we'll push to complete games 6 and 7 if necessary OR to the offseason as we normally would after the completion of the Cup series.

tl;dr - there may be some baked in slow play to this Brewmasters SIM/end of postseaeson SIM schedule, so barring a win in 4 or 5 games, the second Brewmasters SIM probably won't happen this evening.

                        stl;dr - patience

Sounds good. I hope most people can appreciate a little extra time to negotiate with their own players and line up their rosters for next year.

We're still waiting for a few people on the Roll Call, too.

Congrats Batavia. Bring it home for the Stout.

Two years in a row I've lost a deciding game on the road. I've gotta figure out a way to win the division, but I'm not sure how many runs this group has left in them. After knocking Reeves out early in Game 4, he came up huge to win the series. Pretty much an opposite series from Robertson, who was fantastic for me in Game 3 but couldn't get it done in the decider. Lippert and Villasenor came in in relief and were nearly flawless, but the damage had already been done.

Tough way to go out, I thought we had something going with the way my team played down the stretch. Now it'll be interesting to see where it goes. I think my pitching will still be good through the rotation, especially since Carroll will presumably come back healthy. But, the lineup could use a fresh face or two, I think.
