Fred Schubert isn't made of glass.

He's made of broken shards of glass that have been put back together again and again with the kind of glue you let a four year old use.

2-5...not very good. Hope we can hold onto the Stout.

I'm ready to SIM for tomorrow if wanted!

Indeed. Losing Jimenez for the Play-offs really hurts... 50 Saves during the regular season

Batavia left he door open, but we didn't quite burst through it, only managing a 4-3 week. Baltimore still finds a way to beat us even in this down year for them.

So, we head in to he final week still 2 games back, but we're 3 ahead of Philadelphia for the top wild card spot. All our games are at home, but I'll be happy if we maintain our current position. I'll have to set the rotation in anticipation of a Wild Card series.

I also lost Pimienta again. He's been out most of the year, but he's given us good production against lefties so it's still a loss for us.

Outsanding September month for our hitters.

Salazar had player of the week honors in this past SIM
Danny Gomez collected his player of the month award.
Barnard still making noise and might not be considered enough for the New Refreshing but the young guy was awarded with the Rookie of the month award.

Tied with Pawtucket for the #1 DL seed, 6 games ahead to finish the season strong.

Fernando Hernandez tied the all-time wins record on September 7 versus Morgantown, but has been winless in his four attempts to break the record thus far.

He has one more 2018 shot at it later this week at home against Syracuse.

How do I estimate my amount of revenue sharing? Is there a baseline over which we pay a percentage?

-Seattle did clinch a Wild Card birth, quite an accomplishment for a team that appeared to be sinking after the All-Star break. If we squander the Bock, we will likely have to face Washington (or Batavia) in the Wild Card round. That makes winning the division pretty crucial.

-OF Ethan Stuart returned from his almost four month absence to get two starts, going 1/8 with two strikeouts. He will continue to start to try and get his mojo back for the playoffs. We are going to need his bat if we hope to make any noise.

-SS Dave Hallock is day-to-day (23%) for 1-2 weeks. Our SS depth has been lacking since the trade of Dave Nelson to Washington. We will scramble to find other options, probably from Triple-A, and hopefully Hallock is 100% for the post-season.

-The rotation has been given a surprise boost from rookie SP Jayden Jones. While he isn't post-season eligible, he has gone 1-1, with a 1.86 ERA and 1.19 WHIP (.309 BABIP), in his three starts. He will get one more game this final week and has already shown enough to pencil in a spot in the 2019 rotation.

Our first winning month comes in September, no doubt due to the expanded rosters adding a bit more power to our lineup.

Looks like Dave Dillard is ready for the big time. Can he unseat D.J. Gosser?

4-2 though my shaky bullpen lost one by giving up a million runs in the ninth against Windy City and nearly gave up two others against Davenport.

                              That's fun.

In cool news Pat Benites gained a knuckle-curve according to my scout. It's a 4/4 which isn't bad for a new pitch. He's also throwing 99 now and has increased his potential stuff.

Maybe Benites is going to turn into one of those surprise late-round picks. My scout sees him as 7-5-6 with a 6 Fastball, Cutter; 5 Change and 4 Curve and Knuckle-Curve. Suddenly he's projected as a front-line starter. We will see. He's only 24. Excited for his 2019 season now.
