I don't know how I feel about the playoff seeding. We'd currently match up against Hartford, who has had our number this year.
They beat us in 11 of 13 contests in 2018.
The only other club we have a losing record against is Pawtucket, against whom we're 6-7.
So Hartford has really made a huge impact on our record.Maine Guides

Speaking of Hartford, not a good first season for big offseason international signing Daniel Tinajero.
Missed two months with an injury
Abysmal defense at shortstop
.214 batting average
5 home runs
31 years old
$13 million a year through 2022
He oddly hit .324 with a .859 OPS in day games but only .184 with a .560 OPS in the more frequent night fixtures.Maine Guides

It doesn't help that Hartford's park is much more favorable to left-handed batters.Maine Guides

I was telling Pat today in the chat that Batavia is the one IL team that scares me right now. I think we can hang with everybody else. Other than DC, we have a .500 or better record against all the other playoff hopefuls in the IL. I still feel like we could challenge DC. Batavia just beats the heck out of us every time we play.
I'm really hoping we can stay hot and win the Bock so that I don't have to see Batavia in the postseason. My nightmare scenario would be to sneak into the playoffs and come away with a first round upset just to get swept by Batavia and have that shame hanging over my head all offseason. I don't see Windy City making it far enough to have to face Batavia if we secure the division.

-1st in runs scored
-1st in runs allowed
-4th in defense
-#2 rotation (positional strength)
-#1 bullpen
-#5 and #10 best hitters
-#9, #12, #19 best pitchers
-Also a lot of bench depth to absorb an injury or two
Upsets can happen, though. Philadelphia and DC are a tier below Batavia, but very talented clubs. I also think with a few lucky dice rolls, Windy City, Seattle, Los Alamos or New York (whomever makes it) could pull off an upset. Each team has top talent in the rotation. Names like Dave Teel, Dave Boyd, Felipe Vega, Dave Dunham, Dave Harmony, Dave Glomski, Ron Osborn, would put fear into any lineup... That's a lot of Dave's!
I think the DL is harder to pick a favorite. Pawtucket and Dallas are likely to hang on to win the divisions and as the last two teams to win the Brewmaster's in 2017 and 2016, they should be favorites. However, Wilmington is arguably the most talented team in the DL and Maine is the hottest team in the DL.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
