Old guard versus the hungry young Lion squaring off in the Ale race.

Funny how time just passes in the BLB.

We keep winning in spite of our total lack of top level pitching talent or a balanced offense. I thought we'd lose 95 games this year.

Ho-hum. 2-2 as we split the trip to Seattle.

And it looks like Cooper might have finally turned the corner on his development. 3rd straight game with double digit K's. What impresses me is he does it with very pedestrian velocity.

Could be good for a long time since he doesn't rely on velocity to sit batters down.

            I thought everyone knew this.

And by everyone I mean everyone except you and me. I had no idea and wonder how I missed something so obvious.

Weird, was just asking myself if that was possible a week ago and then I forgot to check for it.

2-2 sim, holding on in 1st. Omar Baber continues to go bananas- he's really setting himself up as one of the rising stars amongst middle infielders in the league. Just gotta keep trucking- goal this year is to make the playoffs for sure. There's a lot of talent behind and its a matter of time before Batavia gets hot.

I suck at this game...no argument from me.

I do know my utilities though!

No idea either, but I usually never care about the game per game stats down there.

Disappointed to see that Almarez's ratings took a significant nose-dive after I signed him to a long-term deal.
My scout had him as a 7-6-6 prior to the extension.
In January my scout noted that he dropped to a 5-6-3!!

He started off great with a 0.69 ERA in April, but has really struggled since.

Meanwhile, Manning has been nearly unhittable since May.
He hasn't allowed more than 2 earned-runs since the end of April.

I could have used Almarez' money to extend him.
Hopefully he can stop being a stupid idiot and get his crap together!

I'm definitely going to look at my options.

I shouldn't be too mad. He was a very late round pick who became a full time BLBer.
But still, as a 7-6-6, he was going to be my closer for a long time. And at a reasonable price too.
