  • There's way too many 'Pat's in this draft pool. I wonder if there's an updated name mod?

Kids these days have more modern names. I remember reading this article a while back: http://deadspin.com/the-future-of-ho...rri-1775117194

    Sorry Pat.

That would be perfect. Does this sort of thing require a vote? or can Z be a dictator and force it down everybody's throats?

I had people vote for whether or not we should let GMs give one player a nickname.

            What do you think?

There should have been no need. In Brad-Z we trust.

              • Surprised to find a projected "Spot Starter" in the 7th Round and already "Current: Starter", I will have to follow SP Ron Pritchard closely and see how he evolves

He was on high on my board this late, but I didn't have a pick in the seventh round. Good capture.

Not really, no. But it's the seventh round -- my scout doesn't seriously love anyone left at this point.

There are some guys my scout really loves, but it's obvious to me he's just way off base.

                          It happens every draft.

My scout will say some 17 year old has 7 or 8 power potential, even though he hit .220 with 2 home runs in high school and OSA has the player at 3 power potential.

And then after six months or so, my scout has revised his projection down to 3 power potential.

So when the evaluation doesn't make any sense at this stage, I just ignore it.

Good points, I did learn that with Bankston, the guy has raw potential to put the ball out of the fences but did drop significantly during his path through the minors and I donīt think heīs going to even make the AAA Roster... Letīs see

Very happy so far with our Draft up to this point, all the players have good stats and great projections by my Scout so far... OSA is not so keen on them, but you have to Trust a guy who brought 2 AAA Championships and a Ring to Dallas since I took over... Seth Mueller is a really important part of our organisation and I will continue hearing his whispers

No, Marquez was actually a good prospect.

He might have been hurt by being promoted to AA too quickly.

                                Or bad luck.

                                Or a combination of both.

OSA projected him to be a good prospect and he had the college stats to show for it, so I think he was for real, at least at draft time.
