The fielding is overrated for someone as talented as him.

I love the Chaz Brooks pick for Seattle.

He might be the top pitching prospect in this draft if he hadn't blown out his shoulder last year and missed the whole 2018 college season.

Selecting him is a gamble because we don't know who he might be post-injury. It would have been difficult to take the risk with a higher pick. But late in the first round, I love the bet.

Chaz Brooks is the guy I was talking about when I said I might kick myself for going with Roseboom. I like him a lot. Any serious injury is a concern, but I don't see any indications that he's lost much (if anything) because of it.

I've noticed something about major injuries.

I don't know if this observation is always the case, but it seems to be in every case I've looked for.

If a player suffers a major injury, you can't see the damage to his ratings until after he heals.

If this observation is actually a truth, then we won't know if Brooks will lose upside until after he recovers in a few months.

I tried with 3 different owners to move up to get him since my doctor tends to handle these guys well. Fragile arms don't bother me. I also knew where Pat was leaning .

The Brooks comments make me feel a bit better.

I had a bit of Deja Vu when he was still available at 1.23. Last year, same thing happened at 2.1 with SP C.J. Thompson. I thought both guys should have gone much higher and I ultimately passed on Thompson which looks like a big mistake. I learned my lesson.

Debating if I want to get into the trade market or hope he drops 60 more spots.

Sharks finally go with Outfielder O.P. "Hurricane" Williams with the last 1st Round pick of 2018.

His 7/6/7 defensive ratings and his 6 Speed will allow him to play all over the outfield and being Elite out there. My scout has him as a 5/5/5/5/6 batting potential and says "He has improvements to make, but all the ingredients are there for Williams to have a productive career" "Projects 15 dingers per season" "Defensively Williams is avery sure-handed and reliable center fielder"

With Herrera getting old and Jed Davis the only CF with good BLB projection is time to Draft a player with the upside to be a Shark for years to come. We are young or have good prospects in almost every spot but CF wasn´t one of them.

Happy with this pick, we have 8 more players in the list right now, but Williams was the best player Overall by my Scout, Seth Mueller is one of the best Scouts in the League and has $7.000.000 commited to discober talented young players, so I trust him.

Very true Z, great observation. Wasn't always the case as it began in OOTP 15 and continues with 16. I also think the doctor is more critical as he better be kick ass with the specific injury involved to minimize the damage.

It makes sense in terms of realism.

You can't really know how much an injury hurt a pitcher until he heals enough to try to throw again.

Side note - our most recent pick Brendan Tabaka will be sent to Single A as a pitcher and not a hitter.
