1.5 has been traded. Toronto is back on the (untimed) clock.

With the 5th overall pick, the Toronto Canadians select RF Tommy Horning from the Florida State Seminoles.

Had my eye on Horning for a while. He's close to being ready and fits into our age group of prospects that we're trying to bring along. He also fills a need in RF and his power lefty bat is a perfect match for our ballpark.

The price is a little steep. But Horning will be a good addition.

Our pipeline is starting to take shape:

                C/DH - Robby O'Neal
                1B - Dylan Owens
                2B - Jimmy Anderson
                SS - ?
                3B - Jamie Kitchen
                LF - Dave Ingram
                CF - ?
                RF - Tommy Horning
                DH - Joey Folland/Johnny Schara
                Toronto Canadians - 2004-
                Brewmaster's Cup Champions: 2022
                Domestic League Champions: 2021, 2022
                Ale Division Champions: 2021, 2022
                DL Wildcard: 2019, 2020

                Davenport Brawlers - 1988 to 1998
                Bock Division Champions: 1988, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1995

Noticed LAM is up at 1.6 and was all ready to post a "dammit, Spot . . ." note and then realized he's not at the helm anymore. Got a little choked up.

I've anxiously waiting for the draft timer to start so I could be the first to say someone was "spotting."

                      Nice one.

I had him pegged for Baltimore if he fell to #10.

He's been unusually quiet since he rejoined. Maybe it isn't Spot.

                                Maybe it's Los Alamos.
