That's an ugly DFA list, sorry about that Brad!

4-2 sim and we crawl back to .500 for the season.

0-6 at home and 9 straight loses.

Looks like it may really be that time.

The Sim: 5-2 week going 1-0 @ Davenport, 1-2 @ DC and 3-0 @ Baltimore. A lot of close games. Could have easily been 2-5.

The Good: This rotation can pitch...so far. In the five wins, the Pilots gave up just five runs total, including two great starts from lefty Joey Guess. The rotation ranks 3rd in the IL with a combined 2.55 ERA.

The Bad: This bullpen can't...so far. Last years strength has been a major weakness this early season. The group ranks 9th in the IL with a 4.06 ERA. Changes will be made.

The Ugly: Seattle batters are 12th in strikeouts, 11th in OBP, 10th in AVG, 10th in BB, 8th in OPS, 7th in H, 6th in SLG, 6th in SB...but somehow 5th in runs? That's ugly.

Next Week: Homestand then FINALLY an off day. 2 vs. NY, 2 vs. BAL, 3 vs. DC

Ho hum. 1-5. I think you're the dynasty Matt. We aren't that good which is pretty surprising I guess. I thought we would be better than this.

Might be sale time June 15.

A 4-2 week keeps up atop the Stout for now. Pretty similar story this sim for us, as the offense was carried by my outfield and we got some good starting pitching. There's a couple spots in the lineup that need to pick it up, and the bullpen is pretty leaky. For now I'll just kind of sit back and see what this team will do. Not many moves to make.

We only won a title over a decade ago.

We miss Milt but Frederick is light years ahead of him.

I'm not happy about having to face Fred Frederick for the next several years

I'm hoping Jimmy Norman has an impact at the BLB level- he's got unreal power but he's not nearly as complete a hitter as Fred.

                      5-1. Inching closer to .500.

The offense got the piece it needed with the switch hitting Stoll, as he shredded to a clip of .367/.406/.600...1.006....on the road.

He's no Fred Fredrick...but he gets to play 80+ Games in Pittsburgh for the foreseeable future...I think he should be just fine.

Can not wait to see what he does at home.

Robby McGowan continues to find his groove and the addition of Stoll looks like it may have helped him as well as he brings his average up to .326.

Need that pitching to contribute to stabilize and we should go on a bit of a run.

Denver goes 4-1 and moves into a tie for first in the IL and Bock.

The pitching has been superb and even as the quality of opponent increases, these six guys continue to impress me with their turn in the rotation.

The bullpen is stabilizing though Potter seems to be the one most troubling. The rest are giving me what is expected.

I am comfortable with the young offense but I'll need more from them when the pitching inevitably let's up a little bit. I can't expect more 1.00 ERA weeks. The squad has thrown 5 team shutouts already which is probably more than we've had in history in a given season.

We go on the road for a nice test of games.

14-11 and heading into a 7 game homestretch. I'm pretty happy with where we're sitting so far. Our pitching hasn't been what we were hoping, but we did bring up a couple more young arms that are taking some time adjusting to the BLB. We also have our two most exciting hitting prospects moved up to the AAA, so our time is coming. Hopefully we can stay relevant long enough to bring those two up and make a run this year. It's still too early to tell, but it's possible. Or I'm delusional. Hard to say at this point.
