I don't understand why our starting pitchers are getting hit so hard.

I saw that after last SIM, and it's really strange because he's hurt. He doesn't strike me as anything close to a Top 20 skillset so it's curious seeing him there.

Winning week, but nothing extraordinary here. I'm pretty happy with the start my pitchers have gotten off to, with the exception of Garton. Also happy with the start from my outfielders.

I'm a bit confused as to why we decided to let Manny Ochoa pitch 4 innings of relief against Philadelphia in our 1-0 loss, but I'm sure there's a good reason for that.

                Forgot to export.

Pawtucket 5-1. They don't seem to care.

2-3 and we just look off this year.

We don't have a single starter with a WHIP below 1.50 and our two 'aces' have WHIPs above 2.00. Evers has a 7.50 ERA but a 0.87 FIP.

This could end up being a long season in Baltimore.

Well, first winning series of the season against Wilmington... Seems that we are starting to wake up... 3-3 week, unfortunately NO is up 4 wins already for the division... Come on Sharks, get off the bloody locker room

Back to back 4-2 sims for the Cats. So far split 6 games with the current champs so that's a good sign. Couldn't be more thrilled to have Baase back and have him pitching in the big leagues. 2 starts, 1-0 record with a 0.62 ERA. If only the staff aces (Mitchell, 0-2 4.50 and Taylor, 0-1 4.37) could follow suit, we'd be off to a great start.

The Sim: 4-3 week going 3-1 vs. Davenport and 1-2 vs. Death Valley. Nothing too surprising. We sit at 7-6 despite 10th in the IL in runs scored and T-5th in runs allowed, already +2 in the PYT.

The Good: We have sold out every game so far even after raising our ticket prices to $15. Even if this team isn't as good as last years we should still do very well with the fans. And if the season gets away from us, hopefully the fans keep supporting.

The Bad: OF Tom Herlein has a shoulder strain and will be placed on the 14-day disabled list. In his place, CF JR Lowe will return from his Double-A rehab stint to see if has anything left in the tank at 38-years-old. Lowe didn't hit when he came over from California last year and after a series of ankle injuries my scout thinks has lost a lot of ability. Lowe will have probably two weeks to show me something before he's sent packing.

The Ugly: Two straight sims where I had a Single-A pitcher tear his labrum. Nice. As long as nothing happens to Tom "Domino" King...

Next Week: Three @ Windy City and four @ Davenport. Nice change to the scheduling, as we play WC and Davenport for the 2nd time this month. Much more realistic. The Blues sit atop the IL at 9-4 and should prove a good early road test for this veteran club.

Hmm. Blew two games in the bottom of the ninth. Lost a 1-0 game.

Feeling like this is what young teams do. So I'm okay with it.
