I really don't know how this season is going to go. The optimist in me says that all these variables go my way and we edge out Los Alamos for the division around 95 wins. I could see us going .500 though too...

We have exactly the same lineup but 2 players that should be an improvement over the last year... #5 in the rotation Kauffman for Contreras and #4 Lofink for Arce. In the bullpen Chook-Soi and Rabb for Maher and the other one that I can't remember already.

      Sharks are ready to go!

      Fire this up Boss!!!

I hear you. The preseason predictions have you at 80 wins and us at 72 wins.

Ditto. We were at 86 wins in the first iteration.

            Beats me.

Very excited about being in first place today! Gotta love being first... At least alphabetically.

Decided to wait one more season before bringing Morla and some other prospects up. Prediction of 61 wins doesn't sound like a season they need to sit through. I'm assuming they'll come up after the trade deadline, hopefully for good.

But most importantly, you should each do all you can to disparage your own clubs hopes, then get upset when you under perform. It's the BLB way!

I can only lose so many important games. I'm a shell of my former hyper competitive self. Now I ponder the what ifs of completely tanking and trying to possibly win that way. It seems much too hard for me to wait forever for 10 top prospects to all hit at once but it may be the only way. I do stare emptily at the ceiling each night and consider it.

Trust in Theo!!! Actually it be impossible to just wait for your own prospects due to age/ development, ect.

Now.....what you can do is trade some of your prospects for other teams prospects that are on the same development level or very young BLB kids who haven't come into they're own yet.

Yeah tanking produced C Dave P & SP Mcdade, but without trading for Nygaard & Mason I don't think Pawtucket wins any Cups this decade. Who knew those two would still be around as we near the end of this decade.

For the first time in 10 years, Jimmy Matoon will not start the year as a starter in Baltimore. The 35 year old hurler had been a rock solid innings eater for our rotation during that 10 year span but after a dismal showing in Spring Training, he'll be starting the year in Annapolis (AAA).

I'm almost hoping he does well and Chong-sik Kym struggles to give me a reason to give Jimmy a chance to show and prove as part as our bullpen.

I saw Matton drop off a little (scout says so) Kind of made me sad.

See, I use ratings also. LMAO.

How often do 11 year vets agree to play in the minor leagues and STILL have a positive attitude?

If we ever get around to doing this retirement ceremony, #49 will no longer be a choice for young players.

That should be good for clubhouse morale.
