Signed Diego Flores to a 1 year deal. Jimmy Norman is my 1B of the future without a doubt but I needed a stop-gap this year. Flores can't field very well anymore but he can still hit. Between him and Quian, I think I'll have decent production from my 1B this year. Overall, this offense will probably be a bit more consistent than it was last year.

I have all kinds of pitching battles ongoing though. It's going to be a mess figuring out my 25 man roster.

The fans in California are screaming for Mike Morla after two weeks of Spring at bats.

.387/.424/.613 slash line with 10 rbi and 2 stolen bases.

Trying to resist the temptation to bring him up while we are still rebuilding, but he clearly looks ready...

Trista Nelson going down for a few weeks is not good for him. Dave foshee is going to have a good chance to win that job and defensively he might be better.

There's also going to be an interesting case study on Bruce Gonzalez. He may have a legitimately perfect eye at the plate, but I don't think he can hit. I'm curious to see how this plays out, he could have a .200/.400/.300 slash line which would be mind numbing

As long as you did the below...so the buyout must be $11m. So if you decline that $39.5m Team Option you pay the buyout.

                      Reminder

                      14. CONTRACTS
                      • If Team Option is used the Buyout must be the difference between Option year and highest Guaranteed year.

Just for future reference for someone still trying to figure out his contract mess...

If the team option was equal to, or less than, any of the guaranteed years the buyout could be $0, correct?!

I'm not sure if it was included. Or if you can tell until the new contract starts.
