    Offseason Schedule

    Thu 8/25 - Free Agency 6 - Feb 16 to ST
    Sat 8/27 - Spring Training 1
    Sun 8/28 - Spring Training 2

    Reminder

    14. CONTRACTS
    • If Team Option is used the Buyout must be the difference between Option year and highest Guaranteed year.
    • Only one Team Option may be used per contract, and it must be in the last year of the contract. This prevents people from stacking Player Options after the Team Option.
    • Players cannot be signed to contract extensions until after they have received their third arbitration contract. Players become eligible for contract extensions once they have three "Received a 1-year contract worth a total of $xx through arbitration." in their player history.

Off Season focus on popularity (along with short term talent) is paying off...

Fan interest up to 57 (Getting better) and season ticket sales way ahead of last year's final numbers. 10 600 sold already as opposed to only 7 590 last year.

Also very excited about the Gerlach signing, to take over for fan favourite Jamie Crook.

Was hoping to get Gerlach to come here with Bell.

Gerlach, Perez, Threatt, Bell would have been real nice when playing at home for 81 games. We will settle with the latter 3 as our 7,8,9 options late in games.

Along with Potter and Salazar, that's a lot of strikeouts from our pen. Hopefully they can make the games shorter for us.

I was in on Gerlach with possibly Bell as the backup plan. Both are gone now. Cant sign them all.

Well, Baltimore's off-season is done and we are ready for spring training. We've upgraded where we could and got pretty much all of our targets for the off-season.

On another note I noticed that in the filters, that there is a one for "Best Career Team" which I never noticed. Pretty nice addition (if it is new and not just me finally noticing it).

Seattle finally lands a bench coach and two minor league pitchers to fill the minors and complete the off-season.

                Bring on Spring Training.

Thank you. Meant to post that today because I noticed my scouting and staff amounts updated on their own with this SIM.

I thought I could change ticket prices up to ST...my own fault. Anyways I upped them almost 10% (inflation and all) and now my projected attendance has dropped 20%! Oops.

Made a lowball offer to Santana- he's a liability versus LHP and I'd have to platoon him with Ribodeau so not surprised to see him take a better offer to go to Baltimore.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with my offseason. I think my pitching is set for the next several years with young, cost-controlled arms. I have some young bats coming up the pipeline who I think will be impact players too so I don't want to block their progress too much.

Signed Bao Quian, longtime Indy player to play 1B. Last year Montalbo did an admirable job but I wanted to gamble on somebody a bit younger. I have a big bat in Jimmy Norman who will be probably ready for the BLB by the end of the year so I didn't want to dump a lot of money into 1B.

                              We'll miss Bao. Good luck!
