The guy didn't even know football and did a hostile takeover of the OSFL. I recruited him for years to the BLB and finally he comes over and flourishes. I'm gonna see if he wants to try the stock market next.

I remember, two seasons ago, bringing 43-year-old Sonny Marshburn back to Maine for his second Guides stint. We signed him on September 1.

He had 394 career home runs at the time.

Marshburn homered twice that September to reach a career total of 396 home runs.

We brought him back for the following spring, but he didn't stick with the team past April, having gone 2 for 12 (with no home runs).

No one else picked him up that season. It looked like that would be it for him.

But no, he stuck around. He played for Carolina and Seattle earlier this year. In 27 at-bats, he did not homer.

He returned to Maine for this week.

Three times a Guide.

We started him against California on Wednesday.

California — where it all started for him, all those years — 22 seasons — ago.

He was half his current age then.

He started on Wednesday against his old club.

He hit a three-run homer.

Does he have three more home runs left in him somewhere?

I don't know.

But I'm done betting against him.

Well these last few sims are gonna be exciting. The race for the Wild Card in the IL is as interesting as any playoff race in recent years. I have some people with nagging injuries that are hurting my chances. It's been 10+ years since I've been in the playoffs so hoping for a chance to dance.

Z can probably can speak to this, but Pawtucket never requested a resin it was done cuz Batavia's sim didn't go thru. Jesus your bitter , I almost wished you won one just to calm you down.

Anyway Pawtucket paper tiger this season. Ever since we took our foot off the peddle in mid July we can't seem to get our mojo back.

It happens, just playing out the decade with the limited resources we have. 4 cups in seven seasons can't complain

All I know is we were ready to go. Lol, was down 3-2 but figured we were coming home and pull it out like how was faced LA.

Carolina's catcher C.J. Cooper is the best player you have never heard of.
