    Thanks, Brad.

The Andy Garcia extension took no time at all. Three years, $12 million annually.

Now we push for the Wild Card. Five games back.

West and Suarez are back from injury.

Saito returns in the next week or two, ahead of schedule.

Still a month from the newly extended Twinkle Toes.

Since being called up to AAA, former undrafted free agent SP Micah Marn has thrown 31 1/3 innings in four starts without allowing a run.

Man, this part of the development process is tough but at least the boys are growing up.

According to my player development team, #8 overall pick Zachary Smith is both our best hitting prospect and our best pitching prospect -- despite our organization having four actual pitching prospects ranked in the top 100.

Fascinating. John Ayala picks up his second pitcher of the month award this season (and 3rd of his career, which is two more than Pat Evans has won).

Started the sim 0-3, then won four straight including a sweep of Washington. Three games back in the Bock and in a three-way tie for the highly coveted #2 WC with Baltimore and New York. What a fun race this has been. With the top 6 all but decided in the IL it will interesting to see who pushes for seeding and who elects to rest regulars down the stretch.

Managed to somehow take 2 from Dallas only to get pounded by LA.

It's amazing what he's doing for you.

By the way, man, I really, really blew it sending you Hurwitz and Bennett. Schinnerer is an okay seventh reliever, but that trade wasn't close. Ugh!

Hurwtiz came out of nowhere. I wish I could take credit for spotting his starting capabilities, but that was pure chance. A rain out last season forced him into a spot start and he pitched his guts out. I sent him back to the pen for a week or so then decided to throw him back into the rotation. No looking back since.

Also hard to believe Ayala is the all-time franchise leader in complete games with 12.

Swept out of Seattle. Not a good look for us against a potential playoff opponent. Not a great week for my starting pitching, but at least Dave Lippert is still doing well.

Another solid 5-2 sim for the Cats this week. Still too little too late but it's nice to see things clicking for a change. Hopefully we can crawl back to .500 so my owner doesn't have a stroke.

SS Tom Lewis is transitioning nicely which I like to see. And SP Davon Charles received his first BLB win this sim so hopefully he developes I to the solid middle to low rotation guy I'm looking for.

Ivan Van Gorder finally got to the majors after being a miserable twat for the entire season...and what does he do? Gets his shit lit up out of the pen. Don't bitch and moan that you're not in the show then perform like that. He's got one more sim and if he isn't unhittable I'll send his ass back down to aaa so goddamn fast his head will spin.
