We went 1-6. We're 6-14 in July. We're outrageously bad in close games.

Are you gonna tank again in 2020...
It's the only way I could keep him sadly.

Won't tank, but have this feeling we might not be very good by then :(((

If we can't beat the teams below us in the standings then we have no hope for the season.

Plus losing our best hitter for 2 months pretty much ends the dream.

We will use the remaining second half to look at prospects and get excited for 2018.

I love having a first baseman who can run like the wind.

Jaden Henderson has 14 steals. Projected out over a full season, it's a 40-steal pace.

That's like Zach Lawrence for us. We have August, Lawrence and Talbot all about ready to fill the massive void left by Willie Rosales. They all do different things.

              Another lousy week in California!

It looks like another top draft pick.

Perhaps 2018 is the year for us.

The minors look good and we have some good young pieces at the BLB already. Hopefully it comes together.

4-3 and as Liquid has mentioned, it doesn't really matter because Philly doesn't lose. Everyone in the division that is chasing them went 4-3 so, no movement there.

It looks like D.J. Gosser's bat has finally shown up in July, hitting .337/.364/.990 with 5 home runs and 18 RBI. He hit .414 last week against stiff pitching competition in New York, Washington and Los Alamos. I can only hope this is the beginning of a 2nd half tear by the 23 year old, New York native.

I don't know what to do with Zack Cook (SP) and Jimmy Cooper(SP/RP). Last year, the two had very promising rookie campaigns. This year, I cringe every time I see Zack's name as the starter for the night and whenever Ismael calls Jimmy out to the mound. I'd like to see them fight these sophomoric issues and show me that they don't need any more time in Annapolis but if I don't see much improvement by the time Shamar Bryant (OF) comes out of rehab in a few weeks one, if not both, of them will be back in Annapolis.

On the farm, our 2016 2nd round pick, Pat Bryant is making a huge case for his promotion. After hitting .288 in Camden (AA) and begging for a chance in Baltimore, we granted him a chance to show and prove in Annapolis (AAA) and prove he has. After the promotion, he's hitting .455 in his first 14 games, destroying this level of competition early on. If he had more versatility in the infield, he'd probably be promoted by now.

Finally, I may have to draft more D.J.'s. After Gosser's rookie success last year, D.J. LaRossa is our New Brew candidate for 2017 and is arguably our team MVP so far this year.

We were struggling early in the season to find a solid #2 hitter to link up the offense with our middle power. Enter the 21 year old, former 7th rounder who not only filled that #2 hitter role well, but made it safe for me to move an extremely popular player in Tom Griffith.

LaRossa has had his struggles defensively at 3rd base but as a GM, you ignore that when the kid is hitting .342 and OPS'ing nearly 1.000 at the #2 spot. He's already won IL ROTM for June and is a leading candidate to win it again in July.

                Did I mention he's only 21, Clown?

2-5 against DVS, Sea, and Phi. I expected that. A nice 16-1 loss against the Freedom summed up this week. I'm so bad at this game. Also Combs got hurt again. Might shut him down soon.

Two Cups and the most dominant playoff run in BLB history points to the contrary.

This. You swept me out of the playoffs like three straight seasons. So I must really be terrible.

If you're bad that must mean when they look up "horrible" in the OOTP dictionary they see my picture. Of course I might have gotten somewhere in the playoffs several years if wasn't for those goat humpers in Carolina.

The best bullpen in ERA in the DL is a HUGE turnaround from the last year. Flores, Maher and Arsenault are doing an outstanding job, Jimenez is Jimenez and Tellez + Juenger are doing a good job in their roles.

Pretty much set for the push this year and we are almost in green books....

Voodoo Davila is the only catcher in baseball to throw out more than half of attempting base-stealers thus far.

At age 34, it's the best performance of his career.
