2-1 @ Washington. Surprised we took the series on the road against a very good team, especially after Dave Lippert threw a NO-HITTER against us in the first game.

Went 2-1 versus LA a place we don't like to play at. Goal is to have 55 wins at the halfway point. Seems attainable.

Allstar note: Geez DL beat the crap out of the IL 13-1. Never seen that before least from the DL side. Also SP Nygaard now with his 3rd Allstar appearance. Who knew?

We went 1-2 which is better than 0-3 against Death Valley.

Somehow our rookie is the All-Star on our team and it isn't Healey, Scott or Webb. It was Rory Lawrence. He's done a great job on the mound and has out pitched TJ Davis and Tom Reed.

He's a big part of our "success" this first half. Looking forward to what this team will do moving forward.

Our team still has so much room for improvement and the best part is it's not going to require picking up a big bat to show it.

                Here's another gem.

"Simply hopeless out the plate. Probably won't hit more than .290 over the course of a season. This guy is as close to an automatic out as out as you can get."

                Umm................ok.

We had one excellent month, otherwise we have been very average. I hope a hitter steps up soon before my pitchers come back to Earth. Jamie August should could probably be in a new brew discussion.

3-0 and we win a few straight to end a strong June that rights the ship a bit. We come out of the All-Star break seven back of Philly and just two back of Washington for the #3 seed. We made up a bigger deficit last year at the All-Star break to contend for the Stout title last year so we can only hope for the same this year.

Unfortunately though, I over worked Murillo just a bit and he'll be out for the next two sims. We just have to keep our heads above water until that time.

It just means you'll see Gosser finally play to the level he's capable of.

                            Or maybe even someone else.......
