We followed up our 7-0 week by going 5-1 this sim, so things are going well in Washington at the moment. To go 12-1 with Jamie Urmson on the DL is a really unexpected surprise since he's having such a good season.
We called up Nick McLaughlin from AAA when Urmson went on the DL. He's not much of a hitter, but he plays a very good defensive CF and that perhaps is what I was missing. McLaughin's glove will probably keep him on the 25 man roster, even though Urmson is now healthy. We're 12-0 when he plays, since he got the day off in the game we lost to Baltimore.
The pitching was excellent this sim. Ron Robertson has been better than I could have hoped so far, Tom Bell appears to have helped my bullpen settle in, and Dave Lippert is starting to pitch like an ace again.
Now if only I could get Philly to stop winning so much.Washington Bats, 2013-

Mediocre month over here. Not sure what this team is right now. Losing JP Knappe to go with Honea's injury hasn't made for a very strong month. We drafted pretty well all things considered. No one cracked the top 100, but my three targets for 1.26 (which I had to deal to CAR with Honea) all would have been hits, which is reassuring. Though I'd rather have the prospect right now, it was probably a smart move in the long run.
I think I can hold off SEA, but they are playing awfully well and probably not a fluke as many others have predicted. Most teams are what they are 2.5 months into a season and that team is not bad.
If someone wants to swap a rental RF for Troy McCarley, get in touch. I'm definitely on the fence with moves this season. If anyone feels like dealing, check out my updated trade block. I'm ready to turn over some of this roster and acquire some role players and possibly a young star. If you've got a star 26-27 years old (CF, C, SP, possibly LF) I'm interested.Death Valley Scorpions (2003-Present)

Worst sim of the year. Pilots go 1-5 and the two prospects I considered at 2.1 debut on the Top 100, while the guy I went with debuts as my ORG #12. I fear we are about to crashing back to reality here soon.
At least SP Tom "Domino" King debut at #4. That's a relief.
Thanks again for simming Matt, and working through the issues.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

3-3 sim. Not great, but could have been worse.
Losing Jimmy Douglas sucked. I don't have anyone to lead-off.
I've tried Ontiveras there a number of times in the past and it's never worked well.
On the advice of Pat, I did put him there in last season's post-season and he hit very well. But outside of that, his numbers are a lot better as the #9 hitter.
Thomas used to be good batting 2nd, but this year he's sucked anywhere but #3.
So I need a lead-off and #2 guy.
Will have to experiment with the lineup this week.
So excited for the new draft picks. I love tinkering with my farm teams.
So much work to do this week. Time to sit down and get to work.

I'm pretty happy with where my draftees debuted, considering I didn't pick until 2.16.
That pick, CJ Thompson, snuck into the top 100, coming in at #98. Hopefully he keeps the talent as he gets healthy.
Overall, 5 of my draftees ended up in my Org Top 20. After Thompson, the next highest rated is my 9th round pick, Jimmy Lawrence. That's a bit of a surprise to me. I like the depth of my system at the moment.Washington Bats, 2013-

3B Jamie Hanon debuts for Pawtucket at #77 in a pitchers draft. Happy considering we traded away our first round pick(s) for Tom Wright.
Pawtucket 3-3.....EH. Whenever Toronto is on our schedule even if its one game we always play poorly. Someday I'll need to figure that out.PAWTUCKET PATRIOTS
