6th overall pick- Victor Romero (Hyannis Mets). This was actually a tougher pick for me than I thought as there were two bats I was debating about. I was really looking for the BPA at this point. Offensively, I'm pretty comfortable with the depth I have at various positions throughout my minors. Romero seemed to be the best bat available and is having a monster season- .500+ OBP with 12 HR. I need to start planning for a post Dave Robinson future and I can be patient with Romero.

In my scout's opinion (which differs from OSA) I have several quality OF in my farm. I have 4 guys who I think can be impact starters down the road which I'm pretty happy about.

Jayden Parker and Victor Romero were the two players I really wanted in this draft and since I felt they wouldn't drop to 8th, I figured having Duell and Adamo made more sense. Good choices.

Interested to see who Z takes 8th.

If anyone wants 1.7- I'd move it if you were interested in taking on Stuart and Nishimura...

                            Really liked NY's pick.
Romero's statline was filthy. Nearly .400 in college and 4.0 WAR in under 50 games?!?!

My scout really liked his potential and his personality traits are awesome too.

His defense could be better, but with that bat and personality, hard to pass up.

Just when I think we are about to pick up speed, I notice spot will still have to pick.
