    I offered more annual money than Pat did, but I tried to get away with making the last year a team option, too. So Seattle presented the most guaranteed money.

      It bodes well for the Kodiaks that Pat and I had a very similar target list. We're happy to finally put a real outfielder behind our pitching, and apparently didn't offer Osorio the right type of contract to replace Varga.

        I just saw that Robby Aten retired just two months after Carolina ate the last year on his contract.

        I wonder if he would have kept playing if not released or if Carolina ate money for no reason.

          It's rare to see a team get bailed out by a player retiring. I remember it happening to Carolina before. I don't recall the player.

                  Guilty. I was working on some logos and player pics. Not sure why it would change the systems. They are always funky in the offseason though.

                    I give them less attention during the off season. It had Healey off the Top 100 since October. That didn't concern me, it just made me trust it less.
