One of my personal favorite clutch performances was Steve Suarez, in our 2006 championship run, having a multi-homer game two playoffs games in a row.

I can't find a record of anyone else ever replicating that feat.

Toronto joins free agency by signing Ian Brooks to a five-year, $62 million contract. They also added another former Miller (and Clown) left-hander Mike Sanchez to a two-year deal.

Soon-to-be 39-year-old pitcher Willie Castellanos returns from a year off to pitch for New York again.

J.R. Lowe takes his glove and the pop left in his bat back to southern California, but to play for the Kodiaks this time.

New Orleans adds Antonio Romo to their bullpen on a contract featuring two fully guaranteed years.
        Agreed! great job.

Regarding Arbini, I remember his draft and how great he looked.
I think he's been a bit of a bust considering his draft position and what he's done so far in his career.

Brad, please don't take that as an insult. I think the deal you signed him to is great value for his age and what he brings to the table.
I was just commenting on how he looked to be a perennial all-star capable of 30HR's and 100RBI on a yearly basis.
        Probably 20+SB's a year too.

        (Injuries certainly haven't helped either).

Arbini's flaw is he strikes out a lot.

He struck out in 32.3% of his plate appearances in 2016.

It's the fourth-highest rate of any BLB player who stepped up to the plate at least 400 times.

The most of any player was ... hey, it's your friend, Hector Feliciano!

Something just went wrong with #1 picks Arbini and Leger in back to back drafts. Sometimes picking #2 is the safest bet.

Not at all; he's a flawed player for sure and never became what he projected to be entering the league. Hopefully the price is right for what we get out if him.

Get back to me when he has 12 Defense with Integrity Awards for playing right field like Steve Suarez.

Brad, Arbini is a real nice player, just make sure to give him some rest and keep expectations reasonable and you'll be very happy with him.

He looks like a bargain at $5.7 million annually.

Yep, based on performance I had him valued at a touch of 16 mil last year so Brad got a bargain relatively

I'm interested to see how the Estes contract plays out. I wanted him badly but I didn't imagine I was competing with someone willing to pay a 40 year old Estes $12.5 million.
