Please do not take the observation as a personal attack. To a new outsider the difference in payroll seems to a large factor...
I am hoping as we build the Kodiak brand perhaps I'll begin to understand the inner workings of the game more.
As always, thank you for steering a new owner in the right direction.
No it's a good observation. Keep in mind both DV and Pawtucket are veteran teams with only a handful of young 280k guys.
We are on big runs. Pawtucket has been to post season 7 straight seasons. Death Valley 100 years so yeah the players demand more.
2010 BLB champs Pawtucket only had a mid tier payroll of 87 ml . Helped that Talley, Nygaard, Mason, Piekarski, Donovan, Infante, Morales and Tom Smith were all making 280k and not even at arbitration.
Lol wow have times changed. That was nice group of youngsters and McDade hadn't even arrived yet.

Like Death Valleys it's getting harder. We just lost a top hitter in Haraguchi, lost a closer still in his prime for pennies on the dollar and something tells me either Sanchez ,JD Rob or Mason won't be back next year (Mason is gonna give me the middle finger on his player option).
