    I agree.

Guys should ask for the moon and let teams decide his worth from there.

Agree, but I wish the game was coded where a player 36+ would only ask for 2-3 year deals. Again realistic. How often do 36 year olds ask for 6 year deals without being laughed at?

We'll find out this winter when Rich Hill becomes the most sought after FA pitcher on the market

God I hope not. Then again I follow the Cubs and most guys are team controlled.

His 1st Arb contract was $10m. If you signed him then you could have locked him up long term at $8-10m. Vastly underpaid IMO. No offense to FC but that's one of the reasons Pawt won 4 titles since 2010. We either allow teams to have multiple superstars on the cheap with money to burn or make it a little tougher and have a little FA movement.
When you explain it like that it makes sense. It's just tough with only $70 million. Wait, did I just say that?!

Ok Tom Churchill had a crazy WAR of 7.8 : OPS 1.033 , but that was way back in 2011. Since then his OPS hasn't cracked .900 , his WAR not above 3.8 and oh by the way can't play defense.

Not saying he shouldn't demand 15 mil due to higher demands in today's market but 35 or anything above 22 is freaken crazy.

                California made the right call.

I don't think any files will be imported for this next sim.

I'm going to be in Salary Hell next year and beyond.
Baisden, Thomas and Almarez will probably cost me around $40M/year combined over the next 4 to 6 years.
Then I have Douglas who needs to get paid in 2019.

And, Almarez wants a guarantee that he'll be a starting pitcher (something I was already considering).

Should be fun trying to figure this all out.

The question still remains though will revenue be able to keep up?
I'm not sure it brings the difficulty up for all though. The higher your payroll, the easier it seems to be as you don't have as many teams to fight for premium talent. Perhaps easier is not the word I'm looking for, but for the teams with smaller payroll, the decisions seem to be a lot more difficult. Not saying it's as straightforward as the following stat, but it seems to hold true fairly often...

Pawtucket Payroll $130 million BLB Champ
Death Valley Payroll $125 million BLB Runner-Up

I understand that there are ways to increase payroll, and that I'm new, but there are teams with four or five players that get paid more than some entire payroll allowances.

I also just paid $7.4m in revenue sharing off profit from a successful winning season. You got paid $5m, just because. I've had plenty of tough decisions to make, good players make winning teams and want to get paid.

I had a $12M bump this year to tie Mattfor the bigest budget on the BLB, thanks to outplay my owner expectations and accomplish some of their goals, do that and your owner will look after you in the next year :)

Please do not take the observation as a personal attack. To a new outsider the difference in payroll seems to a large factor...

I am hoping as we build the Kodiak brand perhaps I'll begin to understand the inner workings of the game more.

As always, thank you for steering a new owner in the right direction.
