Bullpen continues to be a letdown. Combine that with an already tough second half schedule and you have the makings of an early tee time.

      Sorry Shark.

We've had a 50 and 51 home run season already. As a matter of fact, one of them was a Snapper when he achieved the feat.

Not me, he almost has hit 50 in 2 seasons, not a BLB record but a own personal achievement :) I know he's not even among the best OFs on the game but he's a beast in my team :)

            LOL.

Reading is fundamental (on my end).

Yeah he did. He also made it back into the starting lineup after a week of platooning and pinch hitting. And the Amigos went 7-0.

Oh and the starter grabbed the win in 5 of those. Clearly I need to keep the pen off the field to win... hard to do when using pitch counts.

Question: do you think that using a 6 man rotation offsets the need for pitch counts? Or are they mutually exclusive?

Exclusive. 6 man DOES help recovery, but starting a game a pitch count especially for low stamina guys is very important. Remember Nygaard? He's been on a under 100 pitch count since the day he's been in Pawtucket.

                      It depends.

Dave Harmony pitched five days ago, 107 pitches and is currently 89% rested. While Baltimore's Jimmy Cooper also pitched five days ago, 102 pitches but is 100% rested. Batavia's Jamie Combs, 110, 100%. New York's Gaxiola, 102, 100%. Pawtucket's Kimble, 102, 100%. Hartford Bacic, 100, 100%. Maine's Toste, 108, 100%. Morgantown's Ian Sexton, 112, 100%.

Not only does the pitchers stamina come into play but also the Team Doctor, who have Fatigue Recovery ratings.

According to OSA, four of your six SPs have a "5 or lower" stamina. A lot of people would have pitch counts on these pitchers...or a six-man rotation.

To add to what Pat said about 6 man rotations it also serves as a BIG advantage. Weeks are actually 6 games not 7 in most cases and running generally with that extra day off TWO starters are at 100%. If your blessed with righty and lefty starters its makes it difficult for GMs who like to be control freaks with 7 day lineups to pin point the rotation.

You'll get the Millers for one game. The other two games will be the Allentown Talons

And nobody has ever been excited to visit Pittsburgh.

Any place that puts fries on a sandwich is a place I don't wanna visit
