I'm either not getting enough runs, or I'm giving too many up.
Rarely will my hitting bail out my pitchers and vice versa.

I appreciate what you've got going there in Morgantown. Thanks to your efforts, my sorry team is still holding on to a playoff spot, despite our best efforts to tank the season.

It's a bit of a gamble, any long-term deal is. But he throws the best knuckleball in the game. Very High Leadership. Popular locally. 3rd best player on "Meet the Team." Jake put him on the block for anyone to trade for exclusive negotiation rights and everyone balked. However, I'm sure he would have been a popular target in Free-Agency.

The Slammers are 56-80 with a $105M payroll. They had three big name impending Free-Agents in "Cubby", 1B Danny Gomez and SS Rogelio Padilla. Could probably only afford to re-sign one and didn't want them all to leave town.

Shame... I thought he was too good to be truth.

                          What about Rex Knight?

Mel Woodbury had his career season in 1995...at 38 years old

                                .352/.485/.501, 55/69 SB, 134 RBI, 150 runs scored

Honestly, his magical ability to put up transcendent numbers was ridiculous.

For those of the oweners that started post-Clay, just look up these players for fun times (why do I still remember their names?):

                                3B Yoritoki Maeda
