Szymanski hit both of his home runs this week in his first game, picking up 3 hits in the process.
We also slipped defensively, which I don't like. If Godinez is going to hit like garbage, I rather have Bromley up playing excellent Centerfield.
Carter might be a different problem, though. And I need to figure out a solution there.Last edited by Carlos; 04-10-2016, 01:24 PM.Denver Bulls

Hmmmm. Pawtucket keeps rolling.
I guess the highlight of this season so far is the play of 1B duo Pat Powell and Johny Brandham. Pat is out of the shadows of C Dave P and Johnny getting now only 33% of the at bats combined are out producing TJ Dunn at a MUCH reduced price. Nice.
Lost another player to injury though, but again can't complain.PAWTUCKET PATRIOTS

It was time for us to come back to Earth which we did in being swept by Morgantown and losing 2/3 to Dallas. Both of the losses to Dallas were tight games though. The pitching, most notably the bullpen, is doing a fine job this year and keeping us alive.
On a side note, I had thrown out some feelers on free agents. Fred Schubert, who I've admitted for a while, joins us for an audition. I need more consistency against right handed pitchers- I have some guys who can really mash against LHP but only a couple that do damage against righties. Plus Schubert brings elite defense to LF for us. Travis Monty gets pushed into a reserve role with this signing.

Trips to Canada=Slump breaker.
6-0 to keep pace in the Stout.
I've been so worried about how Gosser was going to do at this level and it looks like I need to keep an eye on 23 year old infielder, Tom Perry. After a disaterous 1 for 18 September call-up last year, last week Perry went 10 for 21 with 1 double, 2 triples and 1 home run in what is statistically his rookie season.
Not bad at all.

Just a heads up I haven't had any issues with downloading the FTP files or anything. Could be that I'm on a Mac ... Or it could be that since my computer skills are soooooo advanced that when I set it up (by myself for the first time ever...luckily might I add) it was different.
(Still don't have the logos and stuff yet either)

Andy Garcia isn't having a Ricky Murillo-esque season, which I didn't expect...but I did expect him to help us vs LHP and hitter better in Pittsburgh, which he's definitely doing.
Overall:.299/.348/.449/.797
Vs LHP: .311/.392/.533/.925
Home: .397/.424/.619/1.043
(In comparison - Murillo in Baltimore .400/.471/.700/1.171)
If I may say Delandis, the verry early returns on both ends seem to be working out for both of us! Best types of trades.
Offensively, Garcia is very much an improvement over the production we had from SS last year, we sacrifice defensively a bit there, but since Davis has been good with the glove and the power...it's been an overall plus.
I haven't said much about him because I'm usually too busy talking about my love fest for Jamie O'Hearn ...but... the guy on the team who's flying completely under the radar is Abe Santana...he's still ranked as the third best player in the BLB, and he's having his usual strong Santana season at the age of 35. Average is down but the .244/.377/.500/.877 slash ranks highly in the league amongst his peers and he's projected to be a 5 WAR player.
Monster 3 game set lined up in Indy, we thought about mixing up the rotation last sim to get Talley and Taylor for the Indy games but opted against it. Very comfortable with the 6 man rotation, and am fully expecting Syversten, Bynum and Hall to give us quality starts so we have a chance to win the game. Ryan whopped our asses earlier in the year so hopefully the boys have as little extra motivation.
