I don't have a manager, and I don't see anything that would allow any AI to take control. I'm chalking it up to a fluke due to the server issues. Being 10-21, I'm not too sure any lineup tweaking is going to make too much of a difference.

I did sign Leo Aguilar to hopefully improve the IL's worst bullpen. I'm going to give my guys a couple more sims to get their act together, then we're going to start pulling up some guys from AAA to see what they can do. It can't be much worse than what we're getting right now.

Always a "theory" but somehow it seems players or teams each season get a modifier. I mean this is how real life is a bit random? Why did the LA Dino's suddenly go into a shell last season is a good example? Players age or improve each season so its never really the same each season. I think the ratings are pretty delayed.
That makes sense. Super frustrating but it would explain the odd 7 game losing streak for a playoff team or a bad month by a team that should win 100 games.

It does add to the realism though. It would be no fun if everything went exactly the same as the projections. It would take all the fun out of tinkering.

All of us who have been playing in this league for a long time have our own personalized formulas for success. Sometimes, you just get frustrated when your formula isn't working out the way it has for a long time. But that's the random nature of this game that has kept us playing through an entire real life decade.

But like a cheater once told me when my team was doing well, "water finds it level."

Which still holds true, despite the fact that he was just pouring the shit out of our cups. ;)

I'm thrilled to see Chris Lerma playing as well as he is for you. Solid hitting and BLB-best defense at short!

Trade block updated. Gonna have to shake up this veteran team. Once I can export a file again in game, Erik Jackson is joining the BLB club for good and some vets are packing bags. Dave D'Orio can be had first.

It's time. I didn't want to piss off Zuk and I returned a 106 win roster. Now someone can have Zuk for a pick and I haven't had a winning sim yet.

Of course the pitcher who goes down with injury is the guy with the 0.95 ERA.

We're bringing up Jimmy Maggi, who despite low ratings has been unbelievable at AAA. In parts of three seasons at the Triple-A level, he's gone 17-4 with a 2.03 ERA.

This is a considerable problem for a right handed heavy team.

Record versus LHP 1-10, .091 PCT
Record versus RHP 12-8, .600 PCT

That pretty much explains our record.
