    • Went with Dave Seibert. Going to move him to SS to see if he can't be the SS of the future with Vickers up the middle

I had a similar idea with him! Nice pick.

Damn you! That was my first pick in the second round. Three picks are great, but three times I've lost my first choice 1 or two picks ahead. It's like we are all sharing the same scout.

          • Carlos's guy to close the round is interesting. I think I'd try him at second base.

                • Okay. Thanks! I thought I buggered something up. I just hated the thought of slowing down the picks tomorrow. I've already had a few late picks. I don't want California to get a bad rap!

If you drafted Beseman I was going to select Broughton!

I'm excited to add SP Pat Beseman. Solid lefty with high work ethic. He's had a rough year at Stanford but hopefully he will be able to turn it around in our system.

                      I do like his versatility.

I have a similar "problem" with AJ Felice. I'm intrigued by their defensive potential at Centerfield but I also rather have a guy with 7+ range at center. 6 feels average.

Really liked him too. Good value as he could easily be the best pitcher of the draft.

                        • With the last pick in the first round, Denver selects Seigo Ichikawa out of Clemson.

The Centerfielder appears to be more capable of handling his own as an infielder despite his lack of experience there and is likely to get a good look at 2B first.

This may free up AJ Felice to return to center field in A ball.

I love your complete commitment to defense sir. Gives your entire organization a singular identity.

Kind of cool enough to copy. ;)

I'm also the guy that committed to 32+ year old vets.

Let's see if it gets me anywhere first.

                              • With the 27th pick Windy City is taking a chance on A.J. Ditto. We really like what he did in 2015. This year he started out playing at a very high level. In April he strained a hammy, and his production dropped like a rock. He hit .310 in March, .246 in April, and then .179 in May. Come postseason time he was back up to .273 with a 1.152 OPS. I know it's an extremely small sample size, but we're taking a chance that this guy was just off of his game for a stretch while he nursed his hurt leg. I'm hoping that he pops back into form when he gets into our farm system. Our scouts really like him, saying that he's a consensus premium talent.

Either way, we're not exactly chock full of OF talent, and I needed to add somebody that could hit for power. A.J. fills both of those roles for us.
