Nice pick by California grabbing SS Nelson Marquez. Definitely on my short list.

With the #8 Pick, California selects SS Nelson Marquez.

It feels like a consolation pick. With three picks in the first round willing to take a chance at the massive upside to a shortstop with that much power. We have a couple of free agent infielders and Morla hopefully coming up quick, we can give him some time to develop.

Healey has reached base over 50% of the time in Texas A&M, has hit over .400 in his collegiate career, barely strikes out and has an amazing approach in every at-bat. Defensively, we project him to be an elite defensive third basemen.

His one knock is his lack of home run power. But we are not concerned. He drives the ball and makes constant contact. As an organization drafting with a greater emphasis on defense and putting the ball in play, we don't think there are any comparisons.

Very proud to have him in Denver's farm system.
his injury history scared me away. Does look good on paper.

Los Alamos will pick soon after Syracuse selects. I need to get to a meeting but will be back soon.

Just wanted to preempt the spot/draft jokes with a disclaimer...

It came down to two players, but Sedivec's work ethic put him over the top. The future looks bright for Rod and with Gooding looking to have the ability to slide over to LF in a few seasons it seemed like a good get at 10.

Sedivec is a nice pick- was one of the 3 players I was considering with my pick. I just have a glut of OF right now and with a move to the IL on the horizon, had some trouble taking another OF.

I was tempted to take Healey 2nd. I love the pick.

I think it's supposed to stop at 11PM ET.

It might run through the stoppage time because you had already been on the clock prior to 11PM ET. Or maybe because you made fun of Spot. Not sure.

                                This is likely truth.

I thought Spot was talking to me but obviously he was calling Karma.
