yes, I got who I wanted. I know this is a hitter's draft, but me likely the pitcher from Texas. Doesn't walk many and strikes out a good bit of guys. Holding runners might be the lowest I've seen in this game, but he just won't let them get there.

Same here - I like the pick. Draft is pretty much going to form, according to my scout. Only Moir is outside of his top 5 in the Draft List, but I like him too.

I was hoping you guys would go all hitting and he'd drop to 11.

Great pick especially in a batter heavy draft.

I feel like I know who these are and I'm going to end up with the other guy.

Either way, they are my personal 2nd and 3rd best hitters in this draft.

With the #6 pick, I actually decided to make a draft pick based a little bit more on need than BPA. We take SS Omar "Sparky" Baber from Rice. He's a jack of all trades but seems best suited to a middle infield role. He's a middle infielder with plenty of power, hitting 25 homers in the last two years. His OPS has been approximately 1.000 the last two years. He is a good baserunner and has good intangibles.

If he reaches the ratings that my scout projects for him, he'll be as good as a bunch of middle infielders that are making 15 million a year.

Plus, he's got a wicked mustache.

Damn you for that #7 pick. I got excited thinking he would fall to 8!

Denver selects 3B Matt "Stallion" Healey out of Texas A&M.

The Denver organization believes that Healey is the 2nd best position player this draft has to offer, behind only Mike Morla.

Healey has reached base over 50% of the time in Texas A&M, has hit over .400 in his collegiate career, barely strikes out and has an amazing approach in every at-bat. Defensively, we project him to be an elite defensive third basemen.

His one knock is his lack of home run power. But we are not concerned. He drives the ball and makes constant contact. As an organization drafting with a greater emphasis on defense and putting the ball in play, we don't think there are any comparisons.

Very proud to have him in Denver's farm system.

Great pick. I considered him at one and got giddy when I thought I might get the top two players on my board.

California has to readjust. Pick should be in around 4 pm.

Agreed. I knew he wouldn't drop and not looking forward to seeing him in the new IL.
